Ever wonder what became of Bella Twigs after the tragic events of her boyfriend Robert Pattinson’s life?

Well, the singer-songwriter released her debut album ELLE back in 2004 and ever since has been focusing on her music career. Although she’s released a few EPs and singles, her most recent album VENUS was only released in February 2019. And while she continues to tour (primarily the US), she’s mostly removed herself from the limelight. With the exception of one of her very popular songs, “Good Good”, which was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

So, what became of the couple? Well, they’ve been married three times and continue to be devoted to each other to this day. In fact, their fans even have a nickname for their partnership: “Bonjoro”.

They were married on December 6, 2008 in a private ceremony in Venice, Italy. It was officiated by an English vicar and witnessed by their families and close friends. They were also joined in matrimony by Elton John, who is also Pattinson’s best man.

Their first child, Isabella Alice, was born in October 2009. Since then, they’ve had two more children: Estelle and Edouard. They also have a dog named Sandy, who is believed to be a Great Dane. In addition to their four children, the family members also include Pattinson’s two sons, Harlow and Hunter, from his previous marriage. Unfortunately, the children from that union didn’t get the opportunity to meet their half-sister.

Why Did Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs Split?

It’s been ten years since FKA Twigs released her debut album, ELLE, and over the course of those years she’s established herself as a uniquely talented producer, songwriter, and vocalist. But, on a personal level, 2018 was a tough year for Twigs.

Although the album Venus was a critical and commercial success, it was also extremely taxing on her physically and mentally. Not only was it the culmination of a four-year project that spanned several continents but it also came at a time when she was transitioning from being a relatively ‘unknown’ artist to one of the most in-demand producers in the industry. She also became a single mother for the first time at the age of 30.

Speaking to The Guardian in November 2018, Twigs admitted that “the last year has been quite a whirlwind. I had to take a break from touring to focus on my family. The last few months have been incredibly demanding. The album, the tour, the single, the music videos – it’s all caught up with me.”

She continued: “I wasn’t really prepared for how much work it would be. There were so many details to think about and plan for. It was a massive undertaking, but one that I think will be worth it in the end.”

Ultimately, it’s that same drive that’s led Twigs to establish herself as one of the most in-demand producers in the industry. In fact, she’s worked with everyone from Kanye West and Beyoncé to Stormzy and Halsey. But it’s also that same determination that keeps her grounded – she never wanted to let the responsibility of being a mother get in the way of her career. So, even though she didn’t get the chance to finish recording Venus, she was determined to keep going.

When Will Robert Pattinson And FKA Twigs Reunite?

Although she’s been relatively quiet on the album front in recent years, Twigs has continued to build her reputation as one of the most in-demand producers in the industry. In fact, she’s recently worked with some of the biggest names in music including Kanye West, Frank Ocean, and Travis Scott. And now that she’s officially a mother she’s even more focused on her craft.

Speaking to Metro, a news publication, Twigs said that she’s determined to make music “my priority” in life and that she’s learned “a lot” from being a parent.

“I’ve always been a very independent person and I’ve never wanted to let being a parent influence my career,” she said. “But now that I’m a parent, I want to be there for my daughter. I want to be able to influence her life the same way my parents influenced mine.”

“I want to be the best possible version of myself,” she continued. “And what better way to be the best possible version of yourself than by being there for your child. I’m so proud of what I’ve been able to achieve in my career, but being a mother has also given me a new perspective. It’s opened my eyes to how much I’ve been able to achieve and it’s also made me more determined to keep going.”

Pattinson, too, has had a busy year. Besides being a devoted father, he toured the world with his band the Robert Pattinson Group and began writing songs for his upcoming album. In 2019, he released his fifth studio album DOORN and played a number of festivals around the world. He also made several solo appearances, including one at Coachella with a performance that was praised as “phenomenal” by the New York Times. According to the newspaper, the “slender, bespectacled figure” stole the show and “[made] even the most ardent music fans feel like they’re seeing old friends.”

And while neither Pattinson nor Twigs will ever be seen as mainstream artists, they continue to remain relevant because of their music’s distinct character and off-kilter, often dark humor. In an interview with Esquire in June 2019, Twigs admitted that although she’s often described as ‘brave’ and ‘courageous’ for writing “Good Good” (one of her most popular songs), this was actually the result of luck, more than bravery.

“I’m really, really lucky,” she said. “I mean, I have a really incredible support system around me and I’ve been really blessed. I’ve always been really determined, so it’s never been about luck for me. But sometimes, when you’re lucky enough to find the right song in the first place, everything else just falls into place. Like, ‘Good Good’ was lucky.”

So, while their personal lives have been busy, it seems that their professional lives have, too. With their upcoming album titled A Lullaby To A God Of Love, they’ll continue to delight their fans with their musical brand of dark humor and unique, melodic soundscapes.
