The wedding between Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattinson and his longtime girlfriend, FKA Twigs, took place on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in London, England. The ceremony, which was officiated by Hollywood celebrity Jennifer Lawrence, was followed by a reception at London’s Mansion House.

The pair started dating in 2015 and became engaged that November. A source close to the couple told Us Weekly that “Their families were the first to know about their engagement and are over the moon about it. They’re both really happy and looking forward to the upcoming wedding.”

Pattinson, who was previously married to actress Samantha Morton from 2004 to 2010, and Twigs, who was previously married to music producer The Weeknd, tied the knot at a private residence in London. The guest list included both families and close friends, as well as Lawrence, who served as the bride’s matron of honor, and her best friend, Emma Wicks. Guests were also treated to an array of musical performances, including some bangers ‘n’ mash from the groom’s mother, Lois, and the bride’s uncle, Michael. There were also readings from Pattinson’s father, Donald, and the bride’s mother, Rosie, as well as a toast to the happy couple.

The Groom

Born in London and raised in both London and New York, Pattinson first rose to fame playing the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight film series. He continues to be one of Hollywood’s most in-demand stars, having recently wrapped filming on the third installment of the Fantastic Beasts series. In addition to his film work, he has had several high-profile fashion campaigns, including recently being featured in the 2017 Victoria Beckham women’s ready-to-wear collection.

Although he is best known for his acting roles, Pattinson has taken a more active role in recent years, launching his own clothing line in partnership with the British luxury brand Kilka in 2016 and serving as the face of Burberry’s Menswear Campaign in 2018.

The Bridesmaids

Sporting a blush pink dress and white accessories, Twigs made her grand entrance to the wedding ceremony flanked by a ring bearers. Perfumed flower crowns and blush-pink lip gloss were also on full display as she made her way to the altar.

The “Papi Suceso” singer opened up to Hello! about the wedding in 2018, describing it as “a glamorous day” filled with “florists, bridesmaids, and men in suits.”

“I think it’s really important to have a traditional element to a wedding, as well as something that’s personal to you and your partner,” Twigs added. “So for me, it was about keeping that Spanish flare that I love so much.”

The 29-year-old designer also praised the director of the wedding video, Dave Benson Phillips, calling his work “amazing.” She continued, “I just want to say that I loved working with him and being able to have a sense of style and a cinematic quality to the day.”

The Wedding Cake

Pattinson and Twigs’s wedding cake, which was designed by French bakery Salon Patisserie, was a tiered affair made up of macarons, gilded chocolate, and marzipan. According to a spokesperson for the bakery, “The couple decided that they wanted something traditional but also something a bit different, so we designed this really decadent cake which has a French flair to it.”

Though they are just one year into their married life, the happy couple already has an array of fun projects lined up. As reported by Us Weekly, Twigs is designing a capsule wardrobe for Pattinson and plans on serving as his stylist for day-to-night events. They also recently bought a home in London and are currently renovating it.

The couple has yet to reveal the details of their wedding celebration, including the venue and reception date. The event will undoubtedly be one of the topics of discussion at this summer’s Hollywood International Film Festival.
