Even if you haven’t seen ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’, you’ve probably heard of it. The Warner Bros. movie is set to be released later this month, but in the meantime, you might be curious about the mysterious man behind the scenes. Who is Robert Pattinson, and how does he fit into the world of Batman? We’ve got you covered on this front. Here’s everything you need to know.

Biography

Robert Pattinson was born in London on June 23rd, 1986. His family relocated to the United States when he was a child. He grew up in Los Angeles, and later moved to New York City when he was a teenager. After high school, he returned to L.A., where he attended college. There he developed an interest in acting. He studied at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. While attending school, he got his start with a local theatre company. He later transferred to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. While at NYU, he got the chance to develop his skills on camera. He made his screen debut in ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2’, which was released in 2011. Since then, he’s appeared in TV shows like ‘The Walking Dead’, ‘Roots’, and ‘Glee’. He also did a voice for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. In addition to acting, he’s also published a graphic novel. He wrapped production on his latest movie, ‘Dior’, in February. He can next be seen in theaters in August, when the newest ‘Star Wars’ movie is released.

Career

Pattinson’s career as an actor might not seem like a natural fit for someone who’s as famous as he is. However, he seems to enjoy playing characters who are either charming or mysterious. He’s best known for his role as Robin in the ‘Batman’ movies. He also portrayed a serial killer in the miniseries ‘The Lost Boys’, which aired on HBO in 2009. He’s frequently collaborated with director Danny Boyle. It was Boyle who gave him his big break. He directed the 2010 sequel, ‘T2: Tragic Hero’. Prior to that, he did not have a lot of acting roles to his name. He’s mostly worked in supporting and ensemble roles. While he has appeared in blockbuster movies, like ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ and ‘The Great Gatsby’, he’s usually been on the smaller side of the screen. His latest movie, ‘The Lost Boys’, will change that. Based on the novel by Michael Landon, the movie is about a group of teens who fight for their lives after being marooned on an island. They have to make their way in a world that’s more interested in fame and money than in survival. The thriller also stars Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively, and John Stamos. So far, the reviews have been great. It currently has a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Robert Pattinson and Batman

The first and, so far, only ‘Batman’ movie that Pattinson has appeared in starred Michael Keaton as the title character and his sidekick, Dick Grayson. The movie is set for release in May 2019. It will be 40 years since the premiere of ‘Batman’. Since then, the franchise has gone on to become one of the most successful of all time. Thanks in part to its incredible cast, which includes many A-list stars. Keaton and Grayson’s stories continue in the comics, and a TV series aired in the 1980s. As the years have gone by, other actors have stepped in to take on the role of Batman, including Val Kilmer, George Clooney, and, more recently, Ben Affleck. But it’s Pattinson who fans have been waiting to see take the bat out of the cave.

The Batman And Robin Trilogy

Pattinson’s portrayal of Robin was one of the most talked-about aspects of his debut in ‘Batman’. Many have noted that he fit the part perfectly. The character, as portrayed by Pattinson, is cocky, adventurous, and definitely not above committing a crime to get the chance to rob a rich guy. The movie is full of action, with Batman and Robin regularly engaging in fistfights with the Joker and his thugs. These famous characters continue their adventures in the second installment, ‘The Return of the Joker’. Fans of the series can finally see the end of the Joker’s rise to power, as well as the beginning of Batman’s. In order to do that, they have to journey back in time and stop him from killing the people they love. The third and final movie, ‘Joker: The Game”, will pick up directly where the second one left off. The trailer for the film looks extremely exciting. It looks like Batman will face his biggest challenge yet: protecting the city while trying to keep his enemies alive.

Is Robert Pattinson The Next Batman?

While it’s unlikely that Pattinson will ever replace Ben Affleck as the next Batman, it might not be as far-fetched as it seems. Since they are both British and both have a certain charm about them, it’s not hard to see why fans have compared them. However, Affleck has played Batman for 15 years now, and it will be interesting to see how much longer he chooses to make the role his own. But for now, it’s Pattinson’s turn to carry on the legacy. And considering how well received his portrayal of Robin was, perhaps he’s the one who deserves to take over the role. Even if he doesn’t end up playing Batman, it will be interesting to see where he goes from here.
