We’re eagerly waiting to see what projects Robert Pattinson will be taking on in the near future. Not just because he’s one of the most talented actors working today, but also because we want to know what movies will be making him proudest.
Here are some of the projects that we think he might be associated with in the near future.
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them
The actor is set to play a magizoologist in the upcoming film adaptation of the popular Harry Potter series. According to reports, the movie will be set in New York City in 1926 and will be directed by David Heyman. Heyman directed the Harry Potter films, while J.K. Rowling wrote the screenplay for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
The film is scheduled to be released on November 18, 2016, by Warner Bros. Pictures. It will be the first since 2010’s The Hobbit trilogy that the actor won’t be featured in. The last movie he was in was The Great Gatsby in 2013. He plays Nick Carraway, an American billionaire who befriends a young F.B.I. agent named J.J. (Jacek Jerzy Kajetana) and buys an old Wizarding School for him and his family to live in.
Since the release of Twilight, Robert Pattinson’s acting career has hit an all-time high. The actor has appeared in acclaimed films like The Great Gatsby, The Revenant, and The Rover, and won numerous awards for his work, including an Academy Award nomination for The Revenant. He’s also set to star in the BBC’s television adaptation of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest in early 2017. In the same year, he’ll play a lead role in the biopic Dark Nights, which will be released later that year.
Tricky Business
This year will also see the release of the actor’s fifth feature film, titled Tricky Business. Once again, it’s a crime drama, and it will be premiered in several prestigious film festivals, including the Venice Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival, the Sundance Film Festival, and the Los Angeles Film Festival. The movie, which is rated R for some sexual content and language, will be released in theaters on March 23, 2017.
The film, which was produced by Pattinson’s company, Roque Films, will star the actor as a modern-day Robin Hood who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. Although the movie is based on a true story, it is a product of the creative imagination of its director, Andrew MacLeman. The screenplay was written by MacLeman and Patrick Gale. The producers are Noica Yung-Ward, Richard Bosa, and Christopher Rodd, while the executive producers are James Harris and Richard Laermer.
Like with his previous projects, Pattinson will be joined by an impressive supporting cast, including Michael Caine, James Fleet, and Charlie Hunnam. Tricky Business is the first film the actor has directed since 2012’s Out Of Bounds, where he also starred. He’ll be teaming up with his Twilight co-star and long-time friend, Taylor Lautner, for the film’s premiere in Venice next month.
A Moonstone
The actor is set to star in and produce an adaptation of the best-selling Madame Bovary novel, Madame Bovary. Lautner will play Léon, a penniless student who gets a job working for a wealthy Englishman who has a taste for the finer things in life. Through a series of unfortunate events, Léon falls in love with the wealthy man’s charming but manipulative wife, Emma. Pattinson will produce the movie alongside Lautner and his production company, Red Apple Group. The adaptation is being directed by Olivier Assayas, who previously directed Pattinson in The Clouds, which was selected to play at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival. The film is set for release on September 14, 2017.
While we wait for these projects to come to fruition, it’s important to recognize how much talent Pattinson truly is. We can’t imagine any of these projects not being successful, and we look forward to seeing the actor’s continued success in the upcoming years.
