Most of us have probably seen the Twilight series. If you haven’t, then maybe you’ve heard of it. If so, then you know that the films center around a vampire and human romance. What you may not know is that aside from the Twilight films, Robert Pattinson also appears in a number of other horror movies. Here’s a list of some of the films that he’s appeared in. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it does include a fairly diverse range of movies. If you’re interested, you can also click here to see a complete list of his works.
A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)
If you’ve never heard of the Nightmare On Elm Street series, then maybe it’s time you should have. The films are often considered one of the best horror franchises of all time. In fact, it’s one of the few horror franchises that are actually worth watching. If you’ve never seen the films, then maybe it’s time to remedy that as they’re pretty high-quality. They were mostly ignored by American mainstream audiences when they were first released, but they’ve since gained a following in the UK. In 2010, he reprised his role as Freddurrcit in the sequel, Nightmare On Elm Street: Freddy’s Dead – as was the tradition with the sequels that followed – and once again made a lasting impression. One of the things that make this film so good is that it doesn’t pull any punches. The kills in this film are extremely gruesome, and that’s what makes it such an immersive experience for the viewer. Another good thing about this film is that it doesn’t sugarcoat the violence. There are no easy answers in Freddy’s world, and that’s what makes it so interesting. When you watch this film, you’ll not only be scared, but you’ll also feel that you’re witnessing genuine human tragedy. Not since Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange has there been a horror movie that’s been this uncompromising. If you’ve never seen the films, then now is the perfect opportunity to do so.
Audition (2013)
Hiring a professional to help you act is an option that many people consider when they want to try something new. For those who can afford it, hiring a Hollywood actor is the perfect way to experience Hollywood glamour without the hassle of dealing with Hollywood actors. Audition is the story of Annie, who along with her screenwriter boyfriend, decides to hire an actor to play the role of her love interest. During the casting process, things go terribly wrong, and she finds herself in the terrifying position of having to choose between her own life and the life of the person she loves most. Like I said, it’s a pretty heavy movie, and it definitely isn’t for the faint-hearted. You can tell that it wasn’t intended to be a light-hearted comedy either, and that’s what makes it even scarier. It’s not often that you see a horror movie that’s genuinely funny, but Audition does have a few funny moments. It might not be the kind of movie you want to watch with your mom, but it’s definitely not meant to be a kids’ movie either. If you’ve never heard of it, then maybe it’s time you should have. It’s one of the best horror movies of all time, and it’s definitely worth seeking out if you’re looking for something different. It wasn’t necessarily made for tourists, but it’s a movie that everyone should experience at least once in their lives.
Bastard Out Of Carolina (2013)
Bastard Out Of Carolina is the story of John Goodman. He moves to a small town and becomes the town drunk. One day, he wakes up and finds that he’s transformed into a vampire, which he gradually comes to accept. Not only that, but he’s developed a taste for the blood of the town’s young women. It’s not long before he starts dating one of the town’s high school students. The problem is that he’s not the only one who wants to date her. She has a stalker, who is the brother of one of her friends. In order to protect her from Goodman and the stalker, she calls for the help of an old friend of hers, who is now a hunter. Together, they set out to stop Goodman and the stalker. This is one of those rare cases where the trailers really do do no justice to the movie. It’s almost as though they were trying to cheat you. While the trailers don’t give you much to go on, they certainly don’t lie. Once you see the movie, you’ll know exactly what it is that they were trying to portray. The dialogue is excellent, as is the acting. This is one of those horror movies that keeps you on the edges of your seat the entire time. It’s a rare thing to find a film that you can watch multiple times and never get tired of. If you’ve never seen it, then maybe it’s time you should have. It’s one of the best-kept secrets among horror movie fans, and it’s definitely worth seeking out if you’re looking for something different.
Child’s Play (2018)
It’s almost inconceivable that a horror movie involving kids would be any good, but Child’s Play is actually one of the best of its kind. It’s about a family that moves into a new house, only to discover that it’s occupied by a malevolent spirit. The children in the family are terrorized by the evil entity, which manifests itself in the form of a young boy named Chucky. The boy murders for fun and to satiate his insatiable hunger, and it’s up to a family of survivors to stop the bloody mayhem. It’s pretty violent stuff. In fact, it’s more than likely that your kids will have to be shielded from certain scenes or they’ll become traumatized. Still, the violence in this movie is presented in a way that feels more like poetic justice rather than brutal retribution. Director Don Mancini and screenwriter David Goyer definitely know how to play on your emotions in the right way, and that’s what makes this movie work so well. While some people might find it unsettling to watch, you might just find that it brings a certain cathartic element to the experience. The kids in this film are fantastic too. They’re not just there to be scary or to provide some cheap scares. They’re actually really well-written and perform extremely well. The whole family is involved in the production of the film too. This is the kind of movie where you believe that what you’re seeing is actually happening, and that’s what makes it so effective. While it’s not the most family-friendly of films, you might actually bring your kids to see it. They’ll have an experience that they’ll never forget. It’s one of the best made-for-television horror movies that’s ever been on television, and it certainly should not be missed by anyone. Your life will never be the same again. If you’ve never seen it, then now might be the perfect opportunity to rectify that situation. Also, it might be time to introduce your kids to the wonders of cinema. They might just love it as much as you do.
Criminal (2019)
We all know and love the works of director Kevin Smith. He’s made a career out of exploring the weirdness that inhabits his home state of New Jersey. When you watch his movies, you know exactly what’s going on. There’s never any question as to what kind of movie you’re going to see, and that’s one of the great things about his work. While it’s always been about the characters and the oddball situations that they find themselves in, Kevin Smith’s latest film ventures a little bit farther afield. It’s not quite as much of a New Jersey movie as we’re used to, and that’s what makes it so interesting. We see characters from all walks of life, and the situations that they find themselves in are more or less ordinary. People do the usual things that they do. They go about their daily routines, and occasionally, they find themselves in extraordinary situations that they have to navigate. The villains in this film are actually pretty scary too. They’re not characters that we’ve seen before. While there are definitely some laughs to be had, it’s mostly a serious thriller. It’s a rare thing to find a film that’s as much fun as it is frightening. If you’ve never seen it, then maybe it’s time you should have. It’s the kind of movie that Kevin Smith fans have been waiting for. Plus, it’s got an excellent ensemble cast, so it’d be a shame to miss it.
