As one of the most recognizable faces in the fashion industry-turned-influencer community, Victoria Pattinson is most often associated with luxury brands. She’s graced the covers of Vogue, ELLE, and more recently, Harpy Cheetahs, and promoted many luxury goods and restaurants through her channel, @vicky_pattinson, which boasts over 4 million followers. But beyond her fashion influence, Pattinson also has a significant impact on people’s lives through her philanthropic work. In addition to being the founder of the Victoria Pattinson Children’s Charitable Fund, she’s also the chairperson of the Children’s Cancer Society of America, which she co-founded in 2015. The Queen of Pearls
Located in the heart of New England, the Massachusetts town of Duxbury is home to a striking number of historic sites, gorgeous autumn foliage, and charming bed and breakfasts. It was here that Pattinson fell in love with the country. “I grew up in London and always wanted to come back and live in the countryside,” she told me over the phone from Los Angeles. When she moved there with her family, they originally purchased a Georgian mansion, but after renovating and adding on to the property, they call it “The Queen of Pearls.” The estate features a round dining table crafted from old English china, marble fireplaces, and hardwood floors throughout.
The building’s architecture is inspired by the 18th century and its interiors reflect the height of designer Louis Vuitton’s creativity. “He did a lot of great renovations, which included designing and creating all the bed and breakfast menus, as well as the interiors of the building, from top to bottom,” Pattinson said of the designer. The building’s most distinctive features, however, are its exquisite pearls. The designer selected a palette of blues and greens for the table and walls, which inspired the natural hues of the gemstones.
Pattinson estimates that there are fewer than 10,000 pearls in total, ranging from one to five carats in size. All of them were carefully selected for their size, shape, and color. She sourced them from all over the world, and, in some cases, had to pay significant amounts for them. These are the same pearls that appear on the cover of LV’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection.
A Fashion Renaissance
Over the years, Pattinson has amassed a significant fashion estate, which includes an outstanding collection of designer clothes and accessories, as well as a shoe empire. She also owns a 45-piece trousseau made entirely out of gemstones, which were chosen for their sizes, shapes, and colors, and were set in 18 karat gold. As the entrepreneur behind fashion’s most influential and followed accounts, stylings, and promotions, it’s no wonder that her unique influence is being felt across the fashion industry. In 2021, she will launch a new campaign, featuring a wide range of luxury goods and lifestyle brands, to remind people of the impact she’s made in fashion and to raise money for charity. The objective is to change perceptions about fashion’s impact, showing that fashion can be used to make a difference.
A Place To Call Home
Pattinson is also the proud owner of a 16.5-acre property in Bedford, which she purchased for over £2 million in 2016. She renovated the property, which features a pool, tennis courts, and fully functioning vineyard, into a haven of relaxation and respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. “I wanted a place that I could escape to, where my family and I could enjoy some peace and quiet,” she said.
