Robert Pattinson and Ben Affleck are arguably two of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Pattinson plays the Caped Crusader in the upcoming film adaptation of the 1960s TV series, while Affleck portrays him in the upcoming film, The Batman. The duo have been vocal about their opposition to each other’s roles, with Affleck calling out Pattinson for his “whimsical interpretation” of the character while the latter has repeatedly stated that he thinks Affleck’s Batman is “far more interesting.”

While fans of both actors may have something to say about who would win in a fight, it’s hard to argue that the Batman franchise wouldn’t be better with a Ben Affleck-fronted film. The chemistry between Affleck and Batman seems genuine, and the fact that he’s worked with acclaimed director Christopher Nolan on several occasions could mean that he’s up to the challenge of bringing an entertaining film to the big-screen adaptation.

Why Would Batman Want To Fight Pattinson?

Pattinson has never been considered one of Hollywood’s biggest or most versatile stars. The Twilight star’s biggest claim to fame is his role in the upcoming film adaptation of Downton Abbey, while many may know him these days for his comedic chops. The funny thing is, despite his apparent limitations, he managed to pull off one of the most interesting roles in recent memory, that of Edward Cullen in the Twilight films.

While he may not seem like the typical choice for a serious action film, it’s important to keep in mind that the Edward Cullen character was written with sophistication, and it shows. Despite being small in stature, he is depicted as a fierce fighter, and that intensity carries over to the character in real life.

With that in mind, it’s not hard to see how Batman may have something to teach Pattinson. At 6’1″, Affleck is closer to the size of the original Batman himself. While the majority of the upcoming film will center around Bruce Wayne and his efforts to save Gotham, it’s important to remember that Batman is first and foremost a detective, and he’s been on the case for a while. He’s trained to fight for his life, and he’ll be more than happy to put his skills to the test against those of Edward Cullen or, for that matter, anyone else.

Why Would Batman Want To Fight Affleck?

Not only is Ben Affleck an A-list star in his own right, but he’s also one of the most well-liked and respected actors in Hollywood. Not only do audiences seem to like him, but so do his fellow actors. Affleck is a passionate and devoted man, which may explain why he has stayed committed to film even as many of his colleagues have jumped to popular theater and television. Plus, he has a decent chance of winning.

As previously discussed, Affleck is much closer in size to Batman than is Pattinson. That’s important to keep in mind when considering who would win in a fight. From a physical standpoint alone, it would seem that the Dark Knight would demolish his smaller, yet more nimble opponent. However, Batman is a genius when it comes to planning and strategy, and he would know exactly how to counter Affleck’s physical advantages. Moreover, it’s important to remember that Batman is more than willing to work with others; in fact, that’s one of the things that make him such an interesting character. He’s not a man of solitude and self-reliance as the iconic Batman logo would have one believe.

The question isn’t who would win in a fight, but rather who would win in an acting competition? It’s hard to imagine anyone else but an A-list star in their own right, Ben Affleck, portraying Batman on the big screen.
