We’ve been waiting two years for the next installment in the Twilight series, and finally, on November 10, 2019, it was released. While most movie fans were eagerly anticipating the cinematic adventures of Bella and the gang, there was another couple who were keeping tabs on the story from an entirely different perspective.
The story began in June 2017 when Robert Pattinson came out as a secondary romance option for Twilight fans during an online interview with Entertainment Tonight UK. He told the outlet, “There is the girl from Twilight, and then there is also this other girl, and I think for a long time they were one person. And then, all of a sudden, they are not because she made the choice that, ‘No, that is not what I want. That is not what I want my life to be about.’ And she kind of shut down the friendship. And I liked her a lot more after that.”
The quote resonated with fans of the Twilight saga, and although the reports of their breakup were premature, many still felt that something was amiss between Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Pattinson) after their close friendship was put on hold for so long.
Since then, we’ve been gifted with a steady stream of stories about the beautiful and talented Tahliah Barnett (aka Victoria). She’s been seen with Robert Pattinson on several occasions, and although the speculation about their potential reconciliation was rife, their first-look-alike twins were born just three months apart and are clearly too adorable to not be friends. The duo attended the same high school in England, and although they were never formally partnered, their close friendship was a source of speculation.
Victoria’s representative has maintained her relationship with Edward Cullen for years, going so far as to say that their pairings will always be “special and unique.” When it comes to the subject of their twin girls’ parentage, they’ve been relatively open, with Victoria sharing, “They’re my best friends. We’re very, very close. And that’s all I need to say about that.”
It’s more than enough for us. For as long as we’ve known them, Bella, Edward, and their children have been the center of our universe, and it’s been an absolute joy to follow them on their adventures.
While we’re still not sure exactly what caused the rift between Bella and Edward, we’re excited to see these two again and are looking forward to their continued adventures.
