I have a confession to make. I have a soft spot for Robert Pattinson. Not only is he gorgeous but he seems like such a kind and humble person. Not so many people can claim to have been friends with Johnny Depp, but it was Pattinson who inspired Beardyman to write his fantastic book, The Accidental Supervillain. If you haven’t already read it, I highly recommend it. It’s the story of Depp’s early days and how he accidentally became a superhero. Even if you don’t consider yourself a superhero fan, it’s an entertaining and informative book about the making of Pirates of the Caribbean.

A Batman Mask
It’s no secret that Batman is one of the most recognizable superheroes of all time. There have been countless movies and TV shows that have featured the caped crusader, and his quirky yet powerful brand of justice. It seems like every generation has grown up with Batman, enjoying his escapade stories and looking up to him as a role model. Even people who don’t normally watch superhero movies have probably seen a Batman mask.
The irony is, Robert Pattinson recently stated that he doesn’t intend on donning the infamous Batman mask anytime soon. During an appearance on Graham Norton’s show, he joked that Alfred, his butler, often has to remind him that he’s not Bruce Wayne anymore. What’s more is that he doesn’t want to play the superhero role for too long, fearing it may become stale. Rather than continue wearing the Batman mask, he would simply like to play other characters now that Batman is no longer his protagonist. What an incredible departure from Hollywood’s most widely recognizable superhero!
This isn’t the first time that Pattinson has spoken about not wanting to play Batman either. Back in 2014, he told Glamour magazine, “I’ve had my fill of playing characters based on real people. I’ve always found that really boring. I think we’ve reached a stage in our careers where we can experiment with different things. We can play characters that are more individual and have more depth.”
Robert Pattinson Without A Batman Mask
While it’s great that Robert Pattinson is looking to expand his acting horizon, it’s a shame he won’t be wearing the Batman mask anytime soon. The world needs Batmans, and it seems like we’re going to get our wish. Without the mask, Pattinson’s face may well appear on our screens, but without the usual context of being the Dark Knight. No longer will viewers automatically know who he is when he shows up on screen. He’s a completely new character, which is what we all want from our superheroes.
Even if you haven’t seen Robert Pattinson’s work before, you’ve most likely seen his stunning mugshot. With his bright blue eyes and mischievous grin, he’s the kind of guy that everyone wants to photograph. It seems like everyone will have an image of this cheeky Brit in their minds when they think of Robert Pattinson. He is without a doubt, one of the most recognizable faces in the world. With no mask, it’s time for the world to know exactly who he is.
Why Did Robert Pattinson Cut Off His Hair?
There are a number of rumors surrounding the haircut that Robert Pattinson gave himself. Some people say that it was a result of his being signed to do X-Men: Apocalypse, while others think it was an attempt to change his image. Whatever the case may be, the fact remains that he cut off his hair. Why? Because he feels that shorter hair makes him look more contemporary and less like an old man. He may also have felt that his iconic hair gave him an advantage in an acting role, allowing him to play a wide range of characters.
Unfortunately for Robert Pattinson, the majority of the characters he’s played over the years have been old or at least middle aged men. While there is nothing wrong with playing adult characters, it’s almost insulting to those who have been waiting for their turn to shine in the Hollywood spotlight. If Robert Pattinson wants to play the leading man in a superhero movie, he may need to consider keeping his hair. Otherwise, he risks looking even more of an old man than he already does.
Will Robert Pattinson Be In “X-Men: Apocalypse”?
One of the most interesting rumors surrounding X-Men: Apocalypse is whether or not Robert Pattinson will appear in the upcoming film. The star had this to say on the topic: “I don’t know. I’ve heard rumors but I don’t know if they’re true or not. I don’t think I’d want to ruin it for people by giving away too much information. The less you know, the better.”
For now, the best we can do is speculate. We know that Robert Pattinson is in some way involved with the `X-Men’ universe (his cousin, Rebecca, is even listed as a co-producer on the movie), and that he hasn’t ruled out appearing in the next movie, especially since it’s been so long since he last graced us with one of his witty smiles. Whatever the case may be, we’re sure to see more of Robert Pattinson in the coming years. In the meantime, why not check out Pirates of the Caribbean? Perhaps his next role will be that of Captain Jack Sparrow? It can’t be the worst transition, can it?
