The Batman vs. Superman movie trailer was released on Friday, and it looks fantastic. To celebrate the upcoming release of the highly anticipated film, the Hollywood A-lister turned heads as he left the premiere of the new Charlie Hebdo documentary wearing an amazing Batman-themed wig.

The 40-year-old actor was seen leaving the premiere of the controversial documentary “What Will Survive” in New York City on Friday night. As he stepped out in the City that Never Sleeps, the famous face-covering wig drew countless eyes.

“What Will Survive” explores the aftermath of the 2015 Charlie Hebdo shooting in France, one of the deadliest terror attacks in the country’s history. In all, 17 people were killed and dozens injured during the Parisian newspaper publisher’s annual cartoon exhibition, which featured caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad.

The documentary includes interviews with eyewitnesses and people who worked at the newspaper during the massacre. It also explores the social media activity that followed the terror attack, especially on Twitter. The hashtag #JeSuisCharlie (translated as “I am Charlie”) became one of the most used hashtags in Twitter’s history as people around the world showed their support for the slain French journalists.

While the majority of people who commented on the film’s trailer were supportive of the Batman wannabe, there were some who weren’t so sure. “Is this a joke or did he honestly just go there to promote the Batman movie??” one person asked.

“Wow, Robert Pattinson really just went there to promote the Batman movie. Very sneaky,” another critic wrote, while a third person quipped, “I guess we know what Twilight star Rob’s new movie is about.”

While the actor has not yet confirmed whether or not he will be donning the iconic Batman mask to promote the Batman vs. Superman movie, he has already expressed his excitement about the superhero mash-up.

“I can’t wait to see what [director] Zack Snyder has planned for the big-budget film. I think it’s going to be amazing,” he told ET in July.

The film stars Henry Cavill as the Caped Crusader, and will hit theaters on March 25, 2016. Other notable cast members include Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane.
