Is he really that ugly? I mean, really, is he? It’s hard to believe that with all the money and power men throw around nowadays, there still exists someone so hideous that women don’t even want to look at him. Then again, women have always been crazy about those funny and sarcastic men who make them laugh. Maybe it’s not about the looks; maybe it’s about the aura. You see, when a man manages to project an air of mystery and danger, it is usually enough to turn any girl’s head.

Whatever it may be, if there is one thing we can all agree on about Robert Pattinson, it’s that he is a bit of a rogue. He has always gotten what he wants, when he wants it, and he has done it in his own unique style. No wonder women have always found him so attractive. After all, he doesn’t walk in the traditional male-dominated Hollywood fashion. No, he creates his own path, marches to the beat of his own drum, and he doesn’t follow the rules. The question is, can he follow those rules if they make him happy? Can he find love if it doesn’t come by the book?

Ruling The World Of Movies
It’s fair to say that Robert Pattinson has had an eventful couple of years. After wrapping the Divergent series back in March, he went on to star in the upcoming Venom film, which is set to release in October 2018. The movie will bring him closer to his Twilight roots in a way, as it is set in a high school and centers on a group of students who discover a plot by a former student to infect them with a Venom-carrying parasite. If that’s not enough, he also recently signed on to star in The Batman, which will be the culmination of years of rumors and speculation. When it comes to movie gigs, few actors can compete with the amount of control Pattinson wields over the industry. He started out as an unknown British actor who gained popularity for his part as the love interest of Julia Roberts’s character in The Boy Next Door. Since then, he has seemingly transcended the traditional film world and become something of a force to be reckoned with.

Bombshell Career
Even before he became a full-fledged movie star, things were going well for Pattinson. He had the lead in the blockbusters Cruel Winter and Lost In Wonderland, and had a memorable supporting turn as the sexually confused Christian Grey in the Twilight franchise. Since then he has been steadily working, taking on projects here and there, usually a film or television series shot mostly in England. It seems he is never far from a camera, which is lucky for us fans, seeing as how we get to enjoy his work so much.

This year has been quite the journey for Pattinson; at least, if you ask me. I mean, he started out strong by appearing in four separate movies in 2018, with two more on the way. He also has several upcoming television projects, including the Amazon Prime series The Boys. On top of all that, he has been keeping exceptionally busy with interviews and promotional activities. Even in light of all that, he still found time to indulge in one of his many passions: music. He collaborated with famed English composer and musician Edward Elgar on a new piece of music, which they have named “Sorcerer.”

Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places
While we wait for Pattinson to come clean about his private life, let’s turn our attention to his search for love. Is he still looking for that special person to share his life with? Most likely, yes. As I’ve established, he is a man who prefers to follow his own rules, and that usually ends in him finding happiness, whether it’s with a woman or a dog (seriously, he has owned both).

When it comes to the subject of love, most people think about finding Mr. or Ms. Right. However, for Pattinson, it is much more complicated than that. He has admitted in the past that he doesn’t exactly fit the common definition of ‘normal’ when it comes to dating. He has also spoken about how he feels society expects him to live his life in a certain way and that he cannot be what they want him to be. In other words, he doesn’t want to limit himself to just one type of woman. Or, for that matter, man.

For years, he has been looking for that ‘one true thing’, that special feeling that leads you to connect with another human being. In an interview with Parade magazine, he said he was still looking for the same thing and that he hoped he would eventually find it:

  • “I still believe in love at first sight, even if I’ve been disappointed by it. There is something about looking for something that feels right that excites me. As long as there is someone out there that makes me feel like I can’t live without them, I’ll keep looking.”
  • “I hope that one day I’ll find the person who makes my heart smile. That is what excites me about acting; I get to play different characters and see different parts of the world. I want to be able to look for the good in people and see the best in them. Hopefully, one day, I’ll find that person.”
  • “If you’re feeling vulnerable, that’s what love is. You’re not just being loyal or treating someone nicely – you’re putting yourself in a vulnerable position and showing them you care. When you care about someone, you’re putting yourself in a position where they can hurt you. So if you feel safer in a relationship with someone who has a temper, then maybe you’re meant to be together. That’s how I feel. I don’t feel that I can live without vulnerability.”
  • “I want to be with someone who makes me feel like the luckiest person in the world. Does that make me arrogant? Absolutely not – it makes me feel like I can share my dreams with her and she will make them come true. That’s what I’m looking for. I don’t think it’s possible to find someone who makes you feel lucky alone. You need someone who makes you feel like you can’t spend one single moment without them.”

While it is probably safe to assume that Pattinson is still searching for that perfect person, I find it difficult to believe that he would limit himself to just one type of relationship; specifically, the traditional romantic one. It seems to me that, given his openness about his personal life and the number of platforms he uses to keep in touch with fans, he would find it relatively easy to meet the right person, if he was open to it. Moreover, it seems odd that he would want to limit his options in this manner. Ultimately, I think it is more likely that he is looking for that special someone to share his life with, regardless of their gender. As long as he can find that person, he will continue looking for that ‘one true thing’ and live his life to the fullest.
