How Did You Come Up With The Title ‘Good Time’?”Good Time” is inspired by Elisabeth Satie’s book, ‘A Trip To The Moon.’ In it, she talks about how she and her husband came up with the idea of an all-night party on the surface of the moon, which is what “Good Time” represents. It’s a fun example of a wacky concept, one that would make for an interesting discussion. During our time on set, I really started to see the similarities in how we both approached this movie. We were both absolutely determined to make it work, which in hindsight was probably a good thing. We didn’t give up; we kept on trying new things until we eventually found something that worked. It’s a great example of how you should never, ever give up on something you really want. I think that’s what “Good Time” means and I’m really proud of the way the movie came out.
What Is The Movie About?”Good Time” is a pretty classic story of a guy who gets the girl. It’s a very simple plot, but there’s a lot more than meets the eye. The setup is hilarious: Stan, a nerdy engineer, falls in love with and proposes to Karen, the most beautiful and popular girl in his class. Desperate to win Karen’s heart, Stan agrees to a marriage proposal made of ice cream. The story takes a dark turn when Karen’s friends discover the truth about Stan’s obsession with ice cream and try to sabotage the wedding. It’s a classic comedy-drama that will have you laughing one minute and crying the next. You’ll either love it or hate it – it’s definitely bold and different. Most importantly, it’s very entertaining!
How Does Robert Pattinson Feel About Playing A Nerdy Engineering Student?”For me, ‘Good Time’ was a chance to show a different side of myself. I usually play a very cool, collected and reserved guy on screen, but in real life, I’m a very passionate person with strong convictions about a number of topics, which I think makes me a bit more interesting. I’ve always tried to play my role as best as possible, but until this movie, I’d never really shown a side of myself that could be considered ‘nerdy.’ Working with Stephen [Frears] and the other members of the cast was great because it was such a new experience. They helped me navigate some of my quirks and helped me find the character. I had a ball playing the part. I also learned so much from Stephen and the writers; they really opened my eyes to a lot of things. It was a great opportunity, and I look forward to doing it again.”
What Is Christina Applegate’s (Karen’s Best Friend) Role In The Movie?”Karen’s friend, Christina, is very ambitious and sees herself as a major player in the class struggle. She wants to be rich and famous, and uses her best friend, Karen, as a stepping stone to get there. She sabotages Stan’s proposal with a series of misunderstandings and misdirections, which makes for some very funny scenes. As the story unfolds, you’ll understand why she does what she does – it’s because she wants what’s best for Karen, but she also has her own designs on how the school will go about achieving social status.”
Has Christina Applegate (Karen’s Best Friend) Been In Anything Before?”Not exactly, but she has acted in a lot of short films, both alongside Stephen and in the lead. Most notably, she starred in ‘The Wacky Adventures Of Rick James,’ which is a hilarious film about a crazy fan of the musician. We also found out that she has been studying violin for the past 13 years. She is a very talented young actress and a joy to work with. We had a blast on set, and I’m sure the fans will feel the same way – it’s a must-see movie.
Stephen Frears’ Career In Movies?”Stephen Frears” is an accomplished British director and film maker, who has been in the business for over 50 years. He has worked with such greats as Katharine Hepburn, James Dean, and Sean Connery, among others. It is quite an impressive resume and he still works actively, directing movies, TV shows, and even some documentaries. He is mostly known for his work in the British cinematic universe, but he has also directed some very well-known Hollywood movies, such as ‘Chinese Whispers,’ ‘The House Of Gucci,’ ‘Ladies And Gentlemen, The Fabulous Mr. Bliss,’ and ‘Made In Britain.’ “
