Robert Pattinson shows off his toned physique as he hits the beach in Italy with on-screen love, Kristen Stewart. The pair were photographed enjoying a romantic walk on New Year’s Day, and the handsome British actor is looking better than ever.

The Twilight actor has always been known for his good looks, but since returning from his film’s promotional tour in Asia, he’s been working hard on carving out a more mature and sophisticated image. In the past few years, he’s ditched the cartoonishly flamboyant outfits for more conservative attire, and we’ve seen him rock his favorite brands such as Barbour, J.M. WESTON and Armani.

Now, he’s taken another step towards maturity with his latest fashion endeavor. Pattinson has teamed up with luxury brand Ettinger to create a capsule collection that blends British style with a sporty edge. The result is subtle but significant – a classy yet casual blend of tradition and modernity that is reminiscent of the golden era of English style, which began in the ‘50s and continued through to the ‘70s.

The collection draws its name from the English brand Ettinger, which was founded in 1881 and is known for its tailored clothing and distinctive diamond-button designs. For the range, Ettinger and Pattinson collaborated on an “aspirational” outfit that embodies this classic yet fashionable look. The brand has long been associated with the upper crust and elite sportsmen, and this year it celebrated its 140th anniversary by becoming the first luxury fashion brand to be featured on the cover of the prestigious Vogue magazine.

Casual Yet Classy

The capsule collection offers a classic suit for him, made from a thick wool blend with a distinctive herringbone pattern. The cut of the suit is contemporary yet classic, drawing inspiration from the ‘70s and ‘80s. The fabric is lightweight yet cozy enough to be worn all day long and maintains its shape throughout. It features a three-button jacket and a single-breasted suit for him, as well as an off-white colored herringbone pattern woven into the fabric, which provides a subtle texture and pattern for the suit.

Pattinson’s fashion journey has been an interesting one. Before he was known for his acting career, he was a semifinalist for the British fashion competition, Mister Clean. He’s also been featured on the cover of a number of high-profile fashion magazines, including Vogue, GQ and Esquire. Most notably, he graced the cover of British GQ in 2015, becoming the magazine’s first-ever openly gay cover star. This was a landmark moment for gay rights in the UK, and a clear gesture of support from GQ founder and publisher, Robbie Gould.

This is how Gould introduced the cover: “When we set out to decorate the October 2016 issue of GQ, there was only one man we wanted to feature; an all-time great, not just in good looks but in acting talent as well. With his background in theater and his Hollywood career, Robert Pattinson was the perfect choice. We were not only honored to have him as our October cover star but, more importantly, we were proud to be taking a stand against intolerance and discrimination by choosing a fellow Brit as our symbol.”

More Respect For The Elderly

In addition to embodying a classic look, the range respects the dignity of those who have more experience, as the name of the collection implies. The label draws its design language from the classic ‘50s bachelor pad – an era when many traditional gender roles were blurred, allowing for a greater degree of respect and admiration towards those who had more years under their belt.

There are subtle but significant differences between Pattinson’s fashion choices in real life and on film. While he’s chosen designer suits for most of his appearances since Twilight, in real life he’s more inclined to work in a casual manner. He’s also been known to break with traditions and choose designers with more experimental and innovative designs.

These two sides to his character are captured in a fashion spread from Harper’s Bazaar, in which he wears a Barbour jacket with jeans and boots for a casual day out. It’s difficult to pin down exactly what influences make up his style personality – perhaps it’s the combination of his native London with his Hollywood career, which has seen him work with some incredibly talented designers.

For more than a century, Ettinger has been associated with elegance, style and respect for the elderly. This year, it celebrated its 140th anniversary by becoming the first luxury fashion brand to be featured on the cover of the prestigious Vogue magazine. It was an honor for Ettinger and Pattinson to collaborate on this collection, and we’re sure it will be remembered for a long time.
