Robert Pattinson is one of the biggest names in Hollywood these days. His portrayal of the main character in the latest edition of the Twilight franchise has made him a household name among fans around the world. He’s now starring in the latest movie adaptation of the hugely successful Harry Potter series, and is set to appear in other major movies later this year.
But before all that, he took the time to drop by the London set of the latest Twilight movie to help promote it. And what a way to help out the film by appearing in person to celebrate the end of the shoot!
After the premiere of Twilight, he took a break from the limelight to attend the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) awards with his wife, Rosalie, on March 4, 2013. The couple were seen arriving at the famous royal theater wearing chic ensembles, and the actor was on hand to receive his award for best supporting actor in a comedy film. He accepted the award on behalf of writer/director Kenneth Branagh, producer Michael Jackson, and the entire cast and crew of the movie, which premiered to widespread critical and box office success in 2012.
Bonding With The Kids
When he’s not acting or promoting his new movies, the British actor dotes on his kids, Everly and Louis. They’re his pride and joy, and he carries them around with him everywhere he goes. He’s even bought them their very own family butler to look after them!
And what a treat it was for the kids to have their very own grown-up to take care of them. At the premiere of Twilight, he took the time to bond with the audience, giving the thumbs up and down as he excitedly cheered on his family. The moment went viral on the Internet, with many bloggers hailing it as one of the highlights of the event. It was a true father-son bonding moment that will be cherished by young Everly and Louis for the rest of their lives.
An Evening With The Kids
In addition to his on-screen success, Robert Pattinson has managed to carve out a notable TV career for himself, starring in and producing various shows. He’s gone from strength to strength, and even topped one of the most popular TV shows in the U.K. with his performance in Cherry Tree Lane. He also voices the lead character in the popular Rooster Teeth series, Red vs. Blue, as well as lending his voice to several other TV series, including Doctor Who and Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!, among others.
So when he was asked by Entertainment Weekly to name his favorite films, he didn’t just name a few: he named every single one of his movies, beginning with his very first, which was directed by his father and starred him alongside his mother, Vanessa.
“Vanessa is my inspiration,” he told the publication. “She’s not just my mom, she’s helped me become the person I am today. I wouldn’t be here without her.”
