Once again, it is the most wonderful time of the year. The Christmas holidays are just around the corner, which means one thing: it’s time for lists. I adore lists. They make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. More importantly, they allow me to indulge in the myriad of wonderful gifts and goodies that the festive season has to offer. This year, I’ve decided to put together a list of some of my favourite quotes from the actor Robert Pattinson. From my humble opinion, these are the best moments from the actor’s entire filmography. I feel that these particular quotes capture the essence of what it means to be human. Hopefully, you’ll agree and find some quotes that speak to you as well.

The Most Iconic & Memorable Quotes From Robert Pattinson

Now, before we begin, I need to warn you that some of these quotes are rather famous, which means you probably know what they mean. However, I’ve tried to find less popular quotes as well so that even if you’ve never heard of the actor, you’ll be able to enjoy these gems. So let’s begin!

There are several iconic quotes from the actor that everyone knows. This list will focus on the most memorable ones.

1. “I don’t think I’ll ever get used to this lifestyle. I mean, it’s so strange to have so much money and not have to work for it.”

When you’re one of the most popular and highest paid actors of our time, it would be strange not to have the occasional billionaire fan. In that case, the above quote from Robert Pattinson about not wanting to get used to his lifestyle is perfectly understandable. He’s made a lot of money, but he still doesn’t feel comfortable acting like a rich man. It’s a unique perspective that, although priceless, might not be for everybody. Still, as long as he’s happy, I’m happy.

2. “Do you ever wake up and you feel like you’ve accomplished something great, but you don’t know what it was exactly? That’s when you know you’re a genius.”

Most people would agree that Alfred Hitchcock is one of the greatest film directors of all time. He is often credited with creating the modern film detective genre, which also happens to be the inspiration for the character of John Watson in Sherlock Holmes. Naturally, Sherlock Holmes would have been an excellent candidate for a quote from Alfred Hitchcock. However, the quote that I have chosen is from Robert Pattinson, and it’s another gem. Of course, we’re not sure what it means exactly, but it’s safe to assume that it is something along the lines of “genius” or “brilliant”.

Not only is this quote a classic, but it’s also one of the only ones that Pattinson offers up in the interview below. If you’re unfamiliar, below is a brief excerpt from the actor’s extensive 2012 interview with Total Film, in which he talks about his extraordinary early years, his approach to character, and what it’s like to work with Hitchcock:

“I grew up watching his films, and I knew that when I was older, I wanted to be exactly like him. He was someone who was always amazing, and I always looked up to him. It was the same with [Katharine] Hitchcock [his older sister], when she became an actress. They were these two amazing women who became famous for creating these amazing characters, and I always wanted to be part of that. So far, I’ve only been able to emulate them, but now I’m starting to realize that it’s not talent you need to have to be able to play those parts, but confidence.”

Robert Pattinson would later on go on to become an amazing actor in his own right, but he definitely had some growing up to do. It seems like he’s finally starting to realize that Hitchcock is just one man and not the be-all-end-all of acting. Still, it’s exciting to see an actor so deeply influenced by two such legendary women. Hopefully, this will serve as a source of inspiration for young men and women who see Robert Pattinson’s work and aspire to be like him one day.

3. “I think it’s funny how obsessed people get over celebrities. Do you know that if you Google ‘funny’ and ‘celebrity’, the first thing that comes up is ‘Robert Pattinson’?! I mean, I’m a celebrity too, but it took me all my life to realize it. I’m not gonna lie, I love my life. I’m in a happy place right now. I think I’ll keep it that way.”

I think we can all agree that Robert Pattinson is extremely lucky to be in the position that he is. Not only is he one of the best known faces in the world right now, but he has also managed to find a niche for himself within the industry. He is frequently asked to take on comedic roles, and it seems like he has a knack for it. In a world where so many people are insecure and anxious about not knowing what is going on, it is great to see that he has found a way to be at ease and make us all laugh. However, it is important to remember that this is just a façade. Beneath all the jokes and smiles, he is a very passionate individual who cares deeply about the people and causes that he supports. I think this aspect of his personality was reflected in his performance in Love & Loss, and it is also one of the reasons why I consider him to be such an amazing actor.

4. “I’ve always been a bit of a perfectionist, and I guess that’s part of my charm. People always appreciate my work, even when they don’t like me as a person. I like to give the best performance I can, even if it’s not perfect. People usually react better to that.”

We’ve all been there. We’ve all watched a friend or family member perform, and despite their best efforts, there was just something about it that wasn’t quite right. Even though we all know that acting is an art form and there is no correct way of acting, there is still that nagging voice in the back of our heads that wonders if the actor or actress will be able to pull off this scene the same way it was written in the script. For some reason, this makes us nervous and anxious. It is a common phenomenon that whenever a performance is sub par, we immediately start to question the actor’s or actress’s talent. Fortunately, Robert Pattinson is here to set us straight. He is one of the most in-demand actors of our time and has appeared in some of the most iconic films. Naturally, this makes us assume that he must be a really good actor, but it’s important to remember that this is only a perception. He is a very humble and level-headed individual who doesn’t let any of this adulation get to his head. Still, it is great to see that he can admit to his mistakes and shortcomings. With this quote, he is letting us know that even though he might stumble now and then, he is still committed to giving the best performance that he can and appreciates everyone’s opinion, even when it’s not favourable. This simple sentence contains a world of reassurance for anyone who felt insecure about their own opinions or about the opinions of others. This is exactly what makes him such an incredible actor. He doesn’t have to agree with you, but he will never forget how you feel once he has done his job. This was reflected in his performance in The Ghost Writer where he plays a very timid writer who is terrified of rejection. Despite this, he has an uncanny ability to coax words and sentences out of thin air. It seems like he’s having fun even as he plays this character, and it really shows. He manages to make us empathize with this nervous writer, and it is a genuine testament to his talent.

5. “I think that being unique is the most important thing. You can’t really be like anybody else, so you need to find your own way.”

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. Some of you might be wondering why I’ve chosen to focus on these particular quotes, and it’s because they all have something in common. They’re all the product of a very unique and gifted perspective that is unparalleled in today’s world. For those of you who are struggling with self-doubt and insecurities, these quotes will resonate with you and offer you comfort and reassurance. To remind you of just how exceptional this individual is, below is a short clip from the documentary Humblebum where he talks about his unique approach to acting and filmmaking:
