If you’re reading this, then you must be familiar with the fact that Rob Pattinson is the brother of Bella and Edward. We’re pretty sure that you’re also aware that he plays the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight films. As you might imagine, it can get pretty confusing trying to keep track of all of the various Robs and their related activities. To help you identify the Rob who is right for your romantic partner, we’re going to tell you the various ways in which he differs from his siblings.
First Offing
One of the first things you’ll learn about any new member of the clan is that they were born first. As we mentioned above, Rob is the youngest of the three brothers by a good many years. This means that he was actually preceded by Bella and Edward in the womb. For the record, this isn’t completely accurate. While Edward was born first, Rob came along a little later. Unfortunately, this means that they shared the same womb for the first nine months of their lives. This didn’t exactly give Rob the advantage of growing up apart from his siblings. In order to avoid conflict, the parents decided to name the boys after their favorite characters from Lord of the Rings. To their delight, Rob was named after the hobbit character, although he didn’t look like much like a hobbit at the time.
The Moneymaker
You may have heard that one of the ways in which Bella and Edward are able to afford their extravagant lifestyles is through selling their blood. To that end, it’s a well-known fact that Edward has a rare and expensive blood type. Because of this, he’s able to charge a great deal of money for a blood transfusion. Naturally, this isn’t something that their parents would allow. As a result, it’s no surprise that Edward and Bella have developed a fondness for heroin.
Mama’s Boys
There’s one other thing that you should know about the Edward Cullen family and it has nothing to do with romance. In case you hadn’t heard, Edward’s mother is a little…how should we say…fragile? As a result, the other members of the clan are responsible for taking care of her. As you might imagine, this can put a strain on family relations. Because of this, it’s no wonder that the entire family is a little…off-putting? The point is that they’re very protective of her. This makes them prone to take offense at the slightest thing. Even before Rob was born, he and his two elder siblings (Bella and Edward) were known for getting into fights with each other. Fortunately, all of this is just a façade. Beneath that exterior, you’ll see that the EDwardCs are actually a very loving family.
The Fashion Plate
We all know that Bella is very much into fashion. This is a fact that we use when we need to tease her about her outfit choices. For the most part, this love of fashion comes from their mother. Sadly, none of the Cullen ladies are actually known for their good sense of style. This wasn’t too difficult to figure out, considering that the entire family is basically designed after the French royal family. Like the French, the Cullen women wear excessive amounts of black and white clothing. This preference for dark colors is also something that you’ll see in the men. However, unlike the French, the dark clothing isn’t just for show. The Cullen men and women wear black because it helps them keep a healthy temperature. This quality makes it ideal for the cold climate that they live in. If it’s an unseasonably cold day in May, then you can be sure that there will be a few dozen of the Cullen clan gathered outside, trying to stay warm.
The Workaholic
We know what you’re thinking. There’s always that one member of the family whose habits match those of the rich and famous. In this case, it’s Bella. Ever since she was a young girl, she showed a great passion for writing. Fortunately, her parents recognized this talent and put it to good use. They encouraged her to publish a few short stories. From there, she was able to parlay this passion into a career. Today, she’s best known for her YA horror novel, Twilight. Interestingly, she named the book after the film of the same name. Naturally, this was the springboard to her subsequent series, New Moon. What you might not know is that Bella is also a very accomplished artist. This talent has continued to shine through in recent years. She’s even done some fantastic illustrations for the Victoria magazine. If you haven’t checked them out, then you should definitely do so. Not only do they offer an insight into Bella’s art style, but they’re also the perfect little teaser for when you meet her in real life.
The Career Woman
While it’s true that Bella and Edward are into their work and don’t get out much, it doesn’t mean that their busy schedules prevent them from being there for the people that they care about. In fact, it’s the opposite. They try to make time for their family as much as possible, which is why they’re often found working on projects that they know will earn them accolades and adoration from their fans and followers. One of the ways that they demonstrate their care and concern for their family is by naming their first daughter, Victoria. Victoria is the youngest child and only daughter of the couple. It’s no secret that Edward has a thing for little girls’ shoes. As a result, it wasn’t difficult for him to obtain a promise from his wife that he could choose their daughter’s footwear for her. This is something that Bella and Edward did for each of their children. As you might imagine, it’s a tradition that the couple continue to this day. The result is a little girl army. Victoria wears heels and has her hair in pigtails, which is why she’s the spitting image of her iconic dad.
The Bodyguard
You may be thinking that it’s odd that we haven’t mentioned yet that Rob is a bodyguard. After all, he’s the one who was initially hired to protect Bella from harm. This is a role that he’s played for various celebrities and royalty worldwide. Naturally, it’s not just a job. He genuinely cares about his clients, which is why he goes above and beyond what is required of him. This protective streak runs in the family. One of the Cullen women was even in a wheelchair because of it. They were protective of her and wouldn’t let anyone treat her badly. The result was that she grew up with a heightened sense of awareness. She didn’t trust men and women alike. This didn’t exactly do her any favors in terms of romances. Even after she was married and had children of her own, she still wasn’t able to completely relax and trust people. This is why it’s no surprise that she has such a strong attraction to her children’s father. While this may be a source of tension for the EDwardCs, it doesn’t seem to faze Rob one bit. He continues to guard Bella and the rest of the clan with his life.
The Fashion Icon
Edward is pretty well-known for being a bit of a fashion icon. This is largely due to his oft-displayed good taste and sense of style. Naturally, this hasn’t always been the case. Back in the 1960s, he actually wore bell-bottom jeans and shapeless sneakers. It wasn’t until the 1970s that Edward and the rest of the clan began to follow fashionable trends. The result is that they’re often the epitome of style. It’s easy for people to love and follow what they perceive as a fashion icon. This kind of popularity comes with a price. The demand is great, which means that the members of the clan are frequently called upon to pose for magazines and other publications. Sometimes, this even means that they’ll have to go abroad for important photo-op sessions. Naturally, this can put additional stress on a family already stretched to the limits. It’s not all gold that shines, sometimes there’s a dark side to being a fashion icon. Sometimes, this means that people will look at you a little bit differently than usual. Sometimes, this means that you might have to put your best foot forward, even if you feel that something is off. Sometimes, this means that you have to find the beauty within yourself.
