Yes, you read that right. While most of us were busy crying at the end of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 over the huge loss of our favourite fictional couple, Robert Pattinson was presumably singing and dancing at a private party full of famous faces.

According to rumours, the British actor and singer was performing the songs from Twilight as well as singing some songs from his latest album, Cosmos, at the private party thrown in his honour.

The album was reportedly inspired by Pattinson’s time living in Los Angeles and has a more ‘fun’ feel than his previous albums.

It features collaborations with artists such as Sia, Troye Sivan and Martin Garrix. The singer also expressed an interest in recording an opera after his performance at the party.

Pattinson isn’t the only big name to grace the album cover. The cover of Cosmos is adorned with the likenesses of David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Keanu Reeves.

A Rare Appearance

We didn’t have to wait long for our first glimpse of Pattinson on the big screen. The musician and actor made a rare appearance at the 2017 Grammys where he won his first award for best album for Cosmos.

Walking the red carpet, he was asked about his upcoming projects and replied: “I’m doing a movie later this year with Charlie Hunnam, so that’s fun. I’m in a strange place. I’m in a place where things are happening, and I don’t really know what’s going on. So I just go with it.”

As well as the movie with Charlie Hunnam, Pattinson is also set to star in two other movies this year. Late Summer, directed by Jose Padilha, will premiere at the Venice Film Festival this September, while Mulholland Drive will be released later in the year.

Pattinson On Broadway

Pattinson isn’t just a one-hit-wonder. The actor and singer has been working hard to establish himself as a viable Broadway alternative. In fact, he’s been touring the USA with his band, the Robert Pattinson Group, since last year.

In addition to appearing on Broadway, the singer/musician toured with the sold-out shows Finding Neverland and Pippin. He also starred in the movie adaptation of Jeeves, the famed English-speaking gentleman’s gentleman, and will next be seen in the upcoming crime thriller, Black, based on the eponymous novel by Nana Degrasse Tyson. Don’t forget, Jeeves was also the subject of an Oscar-winning film directed by Steven Spielberg in 1974.

Pattinson In The Spotlight

Pattinson’s face appears on the cover of this month’s Rolling Stone, the magazine’s 144th issue.

The actor/singer was also chosen as the cover star of this month’s Vanity Fair, Vogue and FHM, among others. Several other famous faces appear on the covers of this month’s issue of Rolling Stone, including Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and more.

So, what’s next for the 32-year-old singer/musician? Will he finally get to grips with his Twilight obsession and let loose with another masterpiece? Will he continue to strut his stuff on Broadway? Will he make a final appearance in a movie to prove to us he still has it in him? We’ll just have to wait and see…
