Is Robert Pattinson hitting the jackpot with his new partner or has she just become his sweetheart?

The Twilight actor began dating singer/songwriter Stella McCartney the day after he and his band finished recording their new album, Watermellon Zest

The happy couple jetted off to the French Riviera for the first of what they hope will be many adventures together. While there is no denying the chemistry between the two, it seems that Pattinson is treating his new partner a little more seriously than usual. Perhaps he’s finally realized that he can’t have endless fun with his band or solo projects while being a dad, especially to a daughter he adores. He recently proposed to Stella after spending a quiet evening at home in the countryside with her. There were no crazy parties or expensive gifts, but it was definitely a romantic gesture.

The Proposal

It’s fair to say that Robert Pattinson is a pretty busy man. Between his acting, music, and fashion pursuits, it’s clear that the 27-year-old has a full and rather packed schedule. In the past, he’s been known to juggle acting roles with music gigs, and even solo outings, as he’s found the need to explore his burgeoning artist side. Now that his music career has taken off, it seems that he doesn’t have as much time for fun or leisure. Is he regretting his hectic schedule and is looking to slow down?

It would be easy for Pattinson to just throw himself into work and ignore his personal life, but he’s a pretty grounded and mature young man, despite his boyish looks. The actor has been increasingly vocal about his love for his daughter and has treated her to some pretty extravagant gifts, including a pink villa in Italy and a bespoke babygrow crafted from vicuña (the camel’s native country) fur. Not content with spoiling his child, he also makes sure that she’s involved in his music and movie projects, often having her sit in on sessions and watching over her while he records.

McCartney, 27, has been compared to a younger Grace Kelly due to her classic looks and demure manner. The daughter of former Beatle Paul McCartney and fashion designer Grace Kelly, she spent her early years in London before moving to Paris, where she attended the prestigious French equivalent of Eton College. She subsequently moved to New York, where she completed a sociology and anthropology degree and worked as a social researcher. At 21, she began her music career and signed to a label headed by Scooter Braun, the man who manages Justin Bieber and many more high-profile acts. In 2016, she released her debut studio album, titled Habitudes, inspired by her curiosity about cultural differences and experiences. She is also signed to AEG, under which she’ll release her second album, Tell Me, in 2017.

Sober, Curious World

Stella McCartney is an unlikely candidate for marriage, given her reputation as a fashionable, fun-loving party girl. The daughter of former Beatle and designer Paul McCartney, she was born and raised in London and attended St. Peter’s School and St. Mary’s College, both in the city. It was there that she met and began dating Robert Pattinson in 2015. The couple had previously crossed paths while McCartney was working on her first solo album. They previously dated for three years before Pattinson proposed in January 2018.

Pattinson grew up in a musical household, with his parents playing an eclectic mix of jazz, classical, and pop songs on an endless loop in the home. The Watermellon Zest singer attended the Edinburgh and Reading Festivals as a young child and was even accompanied by his father on tour when he was a teen. He’s even opened up about his love for music and singing in interviews, something which undoubtedly helped him connect with McCartney on a personal level. In fact, it was through their shared love of music that they bonded and began dating. So it’s quite possible that with this album, and touring subsequently, the 27-year-old has found something that will be cherished for the rest of his life.

McCartney will reportedly wear a diamond solitaire, 4.52 carat total weight, when she walks down the aisle on December 11, 2022.
