I want to talk about one of my favorite actors, Robert Pattinson. If you haven’t heard of him, then let me introduce you to the future Mr. Twilight. Robert was born in May 1984 in London. At the age of 16, he landed a role on the television series Party Animals. It was originally meant to be a six-part miniseries for the ITV network, but after Party Animals was turned into a full series, it was decided to turn it into a movie instead. This was back in 2002, when Robert was still a teenager. He went on to star in several more television shows before making the transition to features. In 2008, he had a small role in the movie Quantum of Solace, which brought him more exposure than ever before. It also spawned the birth of his nickname, “The Prince of Wales.” Since then, he’s released two more movies, in 2009 and 2011. And here we are: the beginning of the end for the 22-year-old. Let’s take a step back and examine his rise to fame, shall we?

An Unexpected Breakout

From the very beginning, Robert’s career was filled with unexpected turns. He started out as the son of the acclaimed English actor, David Pattinson. Even though he was originally expected to follow in his father’s footsteps, he decided instead to focus on his studies. He attended Repton School in North London, where he starred in several school plays. After leaving school, Robert pursued his acting dreams by attending drama school. He later moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in films. While there, he had the opportunity to star in the movie adaptation of the best-selling book The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Although this wasn’t a widely released movie, it was a major breakthrough for Robert. The film adaptation went on to gross over $100 million at the worldwide box office. Most people probably know Robert from the Twilight films, in which he plays the part of Edward Cullen. But he’s been in several other high-profile movies since then, including the Divergent films and The Rover. In fact, the last movie he was in, Before the Flood, was one of the highest-grossing documentaries of all time, raking in over $100 million at the box office.

So how did Robert end up playing the part of Edward? Well, he was initially approached to audition for the role of Jacob Black, but he turned it down because he wasn’t interested in taking on a love triangle with Taylor Lautner. Afterward, he was approached about playing Edward. When he heard the script and learned that he would be getting a love triangle, he changed his mind and decided to take the role. He didn’t want to be known as the pretty boy from Twilight, and he felt that this would push his acting ambitions forward.

The Birth Of The ‘Twilight’ Brand

Another major turning point in Robert’s career was the Twilight film series. In 2008, Summit Entertainment invited him to take on the role of Edward Cullen, and he said “yes” without even reading the script. Because of his youth at the time, he was under the impression that he was going to play an English billionaire. He didn’t even realize that he would end up playing a vampire. As it turned out, this was the stepping stone that he needed to become a full-time actor. Even before he took on the role of Edward Cullen, he had already established himself as a talent in Hollywood. But he knew that he needed to make the transition to features if he wanted to continue to land high-profile roles. He was just 23 years old when he got his big break, and he knew that he had to make the most of it. So he decided to take on the role of Edward, and the rest is history.

When you think about it, the Twilight films were a breath of fresh air. For a while, it was a brand new concept for Hollywood: a “young adult” franchise. And it was definitely successful, spawning three more movies and one TV series. Not only was The Twilight Saga a major turning point for Robert’s career, but it also helped to open the door to a whole new generation of moviegoers.

Even before Thenew Twilight, Robert’s career was advancing rapidly. He was constantly being offered big-name roles, but he turned them all down, wanting to focus on his education. But as soon as The Twilight Saga was released, everything changed. He was inundated with offers, and he decided to accept a few, just to keep his options open. The demand for his services outstripped the supply, and he found himself at the top of his chosen field. And as we all know, when an actor is at the top of his field, his options open up dramatically. He eventually chose to star in the Divergent franchises, which were based on the best-selling book series by Veronica Roth. While Divergent was a critical and commercial success, it was still a turning point for Robert, forcing him to take a step back and assess his life. He decided to take a break from acting and devote himself to his studies. Since then, he’s only appeared in one movie, the action-adventure The Rover, which was released in 2015. But even that has been mostly behind the scenes, as he’s only had a few cameo appearances.

An Unexpected Comeback

But all good things must come to an end. And as we know, good things rarely come easy for Robert Pattinson. Just a few months ago, he announced that he was returning to acting. And just like that, his career was back on track. The first movie he starred in after taking a break from acting was The London Heist, a British heist movie that was released in April 2019. It’s expected to be one of the biggest movies of the year, if not the biggest movie ever. Directed by Jerry Bruckheimer, the film also stars Clive Owen, Tom Hardy, and Michael Cain. While filming, Robert was forced to watch his diet and exercise regimen closely, as he had to keep in shape for his role as an experienced bank robber. He also had to learn how to drive a car, as his character is a professional driver who specializes in ripping off large sums of money from wealthy businessmen. This is the first movie that Robert has starred in since 2014. But as he gets older, the roles will get more complex, as his father David has remarked, because he’s not a young man anymore. And who knows? Maybe one day, we’ll see Robert revisit his role as Edward Cullen and help to heal the broken heart of Bella Swan.
