If you’ve ever been curious about what it might be like to live in a castle or a mansion, your curiosity may officially be answered. The ‘Roaring 20s’ starlet known as Robert Pattinson recently sold his two royal residences for a combined sum of $9 million. But that’s not all there is to know about this fascinating sale.
History Of The Residences
You may know that Robert Pattinson was previously married to the lovely Cosima (now Kos) Shymansky. The couple spent nearly four years living as reclusive, private citizens in their Surrey mansion before tying the knot in a lavish ceremony in Venice. After their wedding, the newlyweds used part of their budget to completely renovate their 11.3 acre estate, turning it into a luxurious residence with a bowling alley, movie theater, tennis court, swimming pool, and other attractions. Over the years, the couple spent what little money they had remaining on decorating their home and garden to the max.
In 2017, Robert Pattinson put the finishing touches on a new wing for his mansion, which he named the ‘Dovecote’. The structure contains a private indoor pool, nine bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a movie theater, a recording studio, and more than 11,000sqft of living space. A year later, he also spent an additional $4.7 million on an art collection that he showcased in an open-air pavilion on his property. The star’s passion for art and design really showed throughout his two residences.
Sale Of The Residences
In May of this year, it was revealed that Robert Pattinson had put his two homes on the market for the first time ever. The residences were purchased by a well-known British real estate company for a combined total of $9 million. The buyer had originally planned to transform one of the estates into a boutique hotel, but in the end, decided to keep it as a private residence. No word yet on whether or not the company will be keeping the other half as well.
Future Of The Residences
Now that the sale of the residences is finished, it’s a matter of waiting to see how Robert Pattinson chooses to use his newfound wealth. He’s already bought a mansion in Venice that he’ll share with his new wife, so it’s safe to assume that they’ll be moving into one of the estates soon. In 2021, he’s set to make his second appearance at the prestigious Venice Film Festival with his new movie, ‘Fallen Idol’. Stay tuned for updates on this fascinating case!
