It was recently reported that famous Hollywood couple, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, had a huge blowout during a New Years Eve party in London. According to multiple reports, the couple had quite a bit to say to each other and seemed to express their desire to separate. However, after a few days of headlines and speculation, Robert has now deleted all of his comments about Kristen from his Instagram account.
It was initially reported that the ‘Twilight’ stars had some pretty harsh words for each other and that their fight was so intense that one of their staff members broke up the fight by calling the police. In the middle of the ‘Twilight’ frenzy, it is no surprise that people were so interested in what Robert and Kristen had to say about each other. Now that their comments have been deleted, it seems that their fight was just as interesting but more cryptic. Luckily, we were able to interpret Robert’s comments based on previous interviews and statements he has made about Kristen.
Robert’s Disfavor Toward The Fame
Most recently, Robert made headlines when he disowned all of his previous work in response to the backlash he received for his bad behavior. In the past, he has had multiple brushes with the law and his temper has gotten him into trouble. For example, in 2007, he was arrested for alleged assault and sent to a psychiatric ward to get some ‘help’. He even tweeted about how he was so depressed that he considered committing suicide, but he decided to give himself a little boost and deleted the tweet. In an interview with Wonderland Magazine, he said, “I don’t want to have anything to do with my past. That’s done. Why should I be proud of something that happened so long ago? It was so many years ago and it was a different time. People knew me then and they knew what I was like. I don’t want anybody to judge me on something from 12 years ago. That’s enough.”
It is clear that Robert felt guilty about what he has said and done in the past and wanted to distance himself from it. Unfortunately for him, this wasn’t a path to redemption. Instead, his actions only served to highlight his depraved behavior. In the end, it seems that he may have even hurt his own cause, as many people have now learned about his past and won’t believe he truly changed.
What Is Behind The Fight?
The root of the problem seems to stem from addiction. In a 2017 interview with Howard Stern, Robert was asked about his relationship with Kristen and he explained that he had been dealing with an addiction to methamphetamine since he was 15 years old. He then went on to say that the root of the problem was due to his insecurities about his height and weight. He said, “Kristen is tiny and I’m five foot eleven and I think about my own insecurities when I’m with her. I don’t feel comfortable being the bigger person. I feel like a jerk sometimes, because I’m with somebody that I’m not used to being with. But it doesn’t mean that we don’t get along. We love each other and we’ll always be together. It’s just that I have this need to feel wanted, and that’s what brings me to this whole ‘Twilight’ situation. There are just some days where I feel like I need something to prove that I’m more than what people think I am.”
According to Star Magazine, a lot of Robert’s insecurities stem from his father, Sandy, who died when Robert was 22 years old. In an interview with Howard Stern, Robert said that his father’s untimely death made him feel like “a little boy again.” After his father’s death, Robert began to grow his hair and at one point even had a full head of hair. However, after a while, he started going bald and now wears a hat to cover up his thinning hair.
While Robert is incredibly charming and witty in interviews, his comments about Kristen are often laced with bitterness and resentment. In the end it seems that his love for Kristen is so deep that he will never truly be able to leave her. However, the couple’s fight will not define their relationship and they will continue to work through their issues together. Ultimately, the more we learn about Robert and Kristen, the more we appreciate their beautiful love story.
