One of Hollywood’s most beloved leading men, Robert Pattinson, had one very steamy sex scene in the upcoming movie, Dmoor Witch. The scene was so amazing that some fans are claiming they have proof that it was more than just a stunt. While we can’t vouch for the authenticity of this evidence, we can let you know what happened during the scene itself. This is what Robert Pattinson had to say:
Was It All Just A Stunt?
When Dmoor Witch was initially released, many critics and audiences alike remarked on the amazing chemistry between Pattinson and his co-star, Florence Pugh. One of the first reviews described the scene where they play a chess game against each other as an “explosive chessboard fuckfest.” Dmoor Witch director, Joe Alwyn, later spoke with Bustle about how he saw the scene and how he approached filming it, saying, “I didn’t really want to hide anything. I wanted to see what would happen if we pulled back the curtain and watched someone really have sex. I thought it would be interesting to see what would happen and whether there was an art to it or not. So, I didn’t want to hold back on that front.”
The scene in question is a fairly lengthy one, clocking in at just over six minutes in length. It starts out with Pattinson sitting at a chessboard, reading a chess manual and fiddling with his iPhone while Florence Pugh cleans and puts away various items in the room. Once she’s done, they begin to play a game of chess, during which time they mostly look into each other’s eyes and make passionate, chess-related remarks. At one point, however, they pull their chessboards towards them and begin to engage in sexual activity, which is when the scene takes a fairly interesting turn. To be completely honest, we’re not exactly sure what happened in the scene itself since it appears to have been staged. However, the rumors and speculation surrounding this moment certainly makes it more interesting.
Was It All Just A Stunt?
While it’s unclear if the entire scene was staged or if Pattinson and Pugh genuinely had sex, what is clear is that it was certainly a very passionate one. Pattinson later described the shooting of the scene as “the most stressful day of [his] life” and, quite frankly, it’s easy to see why. After all, how often does one get to have sex with their favorite film star? Not very often, if you’d like to be honest. Even if the encounter was entirely staged, it would still be one of the most memorable sex scenes in movie history.
As previously stated, much of the speculation surrounding the scene has revolved around whether or not it was all just a big stunt. While it’s possible, we highly doubt it, we can’t completely rule it out. We should also point out that, in the scene itself, Pattinson does make some odd, somewhat cryptic remarks. For example, towards the beginning, he states, “[Florence Pugh is] the most extraordinary woman I’ve ever known. There’s just something about her.” He then goes on to say, “My whole life changes in an instant when I look at her,” and, finally, “You have to understand, this is not entirely normal.”
As you might imagine, many fans have rushed to the internet to try and figure out what these cryptic remarks mean. While we can’t say for sure what Pattinson was trying to tell us, we can speculate. As far as we know, he has never spoken about Florence Pugh before, so this was clearly a new venture for him. Perhaps he was simply being polite and, as a movie star, he was used to speaking with authority? Or, as a fan, perhaps he was overwhelmed with lust and felt the need to express it in an unusual manner? Regardless of the case, he certainly proved to be an excellent choice for the role of Ellick Carraway, and we can only hope he has more scenes like this one in him.

Unfortunately, we do not have any information on whether or not this was simply a one-time event or if there will be further scenes between these two. Nonetheless, with his fair share of cinematic success already under his belt, who knows? Maybe next time it’ll be our turn to have a scene with an A-list star.
