With a string of box office failures behind him, Hollywood’s most in-demand actor is seeking redemption. Robert Pattinson has been attached to many high-profile films since the start of this year, but he is now seeking to direct one himself. The actor is in line to helm The High Priest, a medieval action movie set for release in 2019.
The High Priest Assembled
The High Priest will reunite Pattinson with his Twilight co-star and The Rover co-writer/director Michael Fassbender. The film also stars Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, and Kate Winslet. According to the report, Pattinson is to direct, write, and appear in the film.
Casting for the high-profile project is still underway. The movie will begin production in Dublin in the coming weeks.

Pattinson has spent much of 2018 in and out of the public eye. The actor has mostly remained out of the public eye since parting ways with long-time manager Jimmy Weber in June. Director Oliver Treece spoke with DGA about the production, noting how much the film is inspired by Knights of the Round Table. He added that the movie will be “epic” in scope and that they used more than 200 effects, 85 stuntmen, and 120 costumes for the cast of around 50.
Knight of the Round Table promises to be a major production for British television and a defining film for Pattinson.
