It was just a few years ago that Robert Pattinson was topping the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Between his scandalous ex-relationships with Kim Kardashian and Katarina Jones, as well as his string of bad choices (weed, alcohol and antidepressants), it was enough for some fans to create the hashtag #ExKardashian on Twitter in reference to the former couple.

Over a year and a half later, the English actor is still receiving backlash for his personal life choices, but these days, it’s mainly from other celebrities. The 32-year-old recently dispelled the rumors that he had given up on love entirely, confirming that he did, in fact, go on a date with a beautiful stranger after filming his latest movie. And while many stars try to keep their private lives hidden from the prying eyes of the public, he’s shown no reluctance to letting his fans get a peek into his dating life. Most recently, Robert Pattinson granted an interview to Elle UK, during which he opened up about his love life, his tattoos and his fears. The interview also featured the gorgeous and talented Emily Brown, with whom the actor reportedly has a very serious relationship. She appeared alongside him at the Vanity Fair Summit last month, where she opened up about her own tattoo adventures and her love for vintage denim. The couple have been dating since at least 2016 and have talked about their connection in the press before, so it comes as no great surprise that they were chosen as the faces of L’Oreal Paris’ #LoveBeyondScars advertisement campaign. If you’re curious about what tattoos the couple have in common, take a look at the gallery below.

Style And Tattoos

The English actor’s style has always been described as goth teen, but even before he was famous for his nightmarish outfits, he had a fondness for black clothing. His style evolved as he got older and entered the celebrity world. Once he became a father, he started dressing more maturely, incorporating darker colors into his outfits. In fact, one of his earliest tattoos was a black rose, with the words ‘loyal’ and ‘courage’ underneath. That same year, 2011, saw him get inked on the inside of his arm with the Greek letter ‘omu’. It stands for ‘one man, one woman’, and the tattoo refers to the fact that he had just come out of a relationship with his longtime best friend, Channing Tatum. More recently, he has gotten inked on his chest with the letters ‘PEACE’, in recognition of the prominent role that non-violence plays in his life. In addition to the black clothing and tattoos, the pop culture phenomenon has also sported piercing, which he got in his ear in 2012 and has since had three more done. The first two were in his chin and eyebrow, while the most recent addition is a teardrop tattoo under his left eye. It’s interesting how his style has evolved. Even back in his My Own Road days, he was never afraid to sport some on-brand merchandise, even going so far as to name drop Louis Vuitton and Dior in his lyrics. Now that he’s a style icon, we can bet that his favorite brands have become a lot more expensive. Maybe it’s time to treat yourself? Not sure what your style quirks are yet? Dating And Fights

For those of you who are fans of the actor, you will no doubt be pleased to hear that he’s still dating after all these years. In fact, the rumors that he had given up on love entirely were greatly exaggerated. After years of being in and out of relationships, he decided to take the plunge and committed to dating again, explaining that he wants to be with someone who “gets” him and who he can “have fun” with. He elaborated: “I think it’s important to find someone who appreciates your quirks and who you can be your goofy self with. I don’t really have any quirks, so it makes it a bit easier to find someone who gets me. Someone who I can have fun with.”

While he wouldn’t necessarily call his love life ‘party days’, the actor has certainly enjoyed himself and hasn’t looked bored at a wedding, birthday party or other social gathering. Most recently, he was at the BAFTAs, where he sported a black tuxedo and conversed with co-star Kristen Stewart, who he worked with on the movie Clouds Over California. The two have known each other since they were kids and have a very close friendship, so it was no great surprise that they reconnected. Even before that, though, he had been dating a good friend of Emily’s, Alice MacLeman, since 2009. They were even photographed on a beach kissing during a romantic vacation in Mexico. More recently, he’s accompanied Emily on a second date with his old friend, Channing Tatum. The two were last together for almost 10 years and share an interesting bond, so it was only natural that they would become friends again. In the interview, when asked about all the fights that he’s had with his girlfriends as well as his exes, he joked: “I think the only difference is when I was fighting with my girlfriends, I was trying to win.” And in true party animal fashion, he continued, “The fights with friends, I wasn’t enjoying myself as much, because I knew that I wasn’t going to win.”

Even though he’s been in a few serious relationships in his life, it’s still not clear whether or not he’ll settle down with anyone. Asked if he ever thought about marriage, he replied, “I don’t really know. I think it’s important to find someone who is comfortable with your family and friends. I’ve never really been able to keep anyone for long.” Not sure what your style quirks are yet?
