I don’t know about you, but I can’t stop thinking about the most recent Robert Pattinson news. I mean, who would have thought that the ginger one would be the gift that keeps on giving?
The latest news just gets better and better for the former Twilight star. After months of silence, he finally broke his self-imposed media blackout and responded to a fan’s question about how he’s been doing in the last few months. To say that he was cryptic would be an understatement. In fact, he answered with a question: How did I piss myself?
I suppose it’s easy to understand why he would joke about the incident. The truth is, he didn’t really talk about it much, if at all. Even those who love to gossip haven’t heard much about the incident. That is, until now.
It seems that someone (possibly a paparazzo) caught Robert Pattinson on the street shortly after his birthday in December 2016. The person asked him about his present, to which Pattinson replied, “How did I piss myself?”. The fan then asked if he would like to talk about it, to which he replied, “No, because that’s what I do. I piss myself. So you know, it’s like, that’s my thing. That’s what I do.”
Well, He’s Got A Point
It’s true. Pattinson does have a point when he jokes about the incident. He hasn’t really discussed it much, so it’s understandable that fans would be curious about what happened. The fact that he even mentioned it at all is a big deal. It shows that he’s finally coming to terms with what happened. After months of keeping quiet, it’s about time that he started talking about it.
It’s not like he had to bring it up. Not much is really known about the incident. Only the fact that he was walking down the street when it happened. It is assumed that he had just turned 21, his birthday was on December 2, and it was sometime around December 10. It is also known that he wasn’t wearing any pants at the time. It seems that, at least for a minute, his modesty was offended.
It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that a celebrity was photographed in a compromising situation. Back in August 2016, Justin Bieber was caught with his pants down in Miami. He initially lied about the reason for his exposure and blamed it on “a conspiracy involving his enemies and the media.” However, he later apologized for lying and discussed the incident in detail.
To this day, Justin Bieber is the only person who has addressed the incident, and even then it was in the form of a question. He reportedly feels that the incident has “ruined” his reputation, to which one has to agree. Even then, he’s probably having a hard time believing that he was actually naked. The fact that it was caught on camera is apparently what’s bothering him the most. It seems that he’s convinced that he’s getting targeted because of his fame. It’s an unfortunate side effect of being a public figure. If there is anything that we’ve learned over the past few years, it’s that your pants might just catch fire without warning.
An Inexplicable Accident
The fact that Robert Pattinson kept quiet about this incident is, in itself, incredibly bizarre. He was actually the victim of an “unexplicable accident” according to a family friend. The source said that the accident was actually a botched medical procedure. It seems that, for a number of reasons, they weren’t able to give Robert Pattinson the treatment that he needed. Whether or not this is true, we’ll never know. The only thing that we do know for sure is that he had an accident and ended up in the hospital. That’s all.
The statement that he made after the accident is also incredibly fascinating. According to the source, he said, “I’m not going to make a big deal out of this…it was an accident, and I’m not going to ruin his birthday.”
It must have taken a lot of courage for him to say that. Coming from a family friend, it must have been even more so. Who knows what he was going through, or how much pressure he was under? Maybe he had a feeling that people might judge him, or worse yet, his family. Who knows? We’ll never know the whole story, but we can assume that it was a hard decision for him to keep quiet about an accident that he had no control over. It wasn’t like he was trying to hide it. He’s probably just grateful that someone was there to catch him.
What Happened?
This is more information than we’ve ever had about the incident. Robert Pattinson was walking down the street when he noticed that there were photographers following him. One of the photos was reportedly of him with his pants down, so he turned around and yelled, “Fuck off!” At this point, it’s not clear who it was that he yelled at, or what he intended to say. It seems that someone took a picture of him on the street and he flipped out.
There’s a possibility that he was actually just pissed off at the photographers for following him. Maybe he felt that they were invading his privacy or that they were just there to get a picture of him. We’ll probably never know for sure, but it appears that it wasn’t the case. Apparently, he was yelling at someone or something, but we can’t be sure who or what it was.
The bottom line is that we now know more about what happened than we’ve ever known. Even still, it’s questionable how much we really want to know. It seems that Robert Pattinson is finally ready to talk about it. Whether or not he discusses the matter in-depth is up to him. Even then, it will be interesting to see what he has to say. Perhaps he’ll even give more details about what happened than we ever knew. If nothing else, we know that he’ll be sure to amuse people with his brand of humor.
