Well, it takes more than just a pretty face to become famous these days. You need a good joke or quip to go viral. And what better way to go viral than by poking fun at the rich and famous?

With the help of some social media magic, famous siblings Robert Pattinson and Pete Davidson have managed to combine their fame and fortune. Now, thanks to TikTok, they can reap the benefits of being famous international rock stars.

Here, we’ll explore how this unlikely pair is connected and how they’ve used their popularity to reinvent themselves as digital nomads.

Robert’s Star Quality

For those who don’t know, Robert Pattinson was born in London to a famous British actor and his actress wife. Raised in a mansion, the young Robert was given the childhood he always wished for. Unfortunately, his privileged upbringing didn’t exactly prepare him for future fame. At the age of 17, Robert had to move to Italy to live with his manager because his father couldn’t afford to pay for his extravagant lifestyle. In fact, the young British entrepreneur never really took to acting, eventually deciding to pursue a career in music. To this day, he’s still best known for playing the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga.

While Robert’s star quality is undeniable, it’s important to note that he’s a very private person who doesn’t like to share his personal life with the public. He hasn’t even attended a single Twilight movie premiere since the series ended in 2011. (In fact, he hasn’t watched any of the sequels either.) As a result, many have wondered whether or not his relationship with Twilight co-star Bella Swan was actually even real. (It wasn’t.)

Despite his private nature, the singer did end up publicly opening up about his sibling in a interview with The Guardian in 2016. At the time, he was on the verge of breaking his self-imposed media blackout. “I’ve always wanted a sibling. It comes with its perks,” he said. “You can drive your parents crazy by demanding to watch whatever you want and staying up late. You also get to see all of their quirks and habits. It’s hilarious.”

Pete’s Comedic Charm

Pete Davidson is the younger of the two brothers, but not by much. He was actually born six months after his famous sibling. But Pete didn’t let his lack of experience in life hold him back. Instead, he used it to his advantage. In 2012, the now-famous Davidson quipped, “I feel like I’ve been cheated on by Taylor Swift. I didn’t get a single kiss from her in the entire movie.” That one comment about Swift went viral and launched Pete into international fame. The next year, he was featured on the cover of The New York Times Magazine.

Since then, Pete’s career has taken off. He’s had a string of critically acclaimed films including the Judd Apatow-produced Trainwreck and the horror classic Get Out. Most recently, he starred in the Broadway musical The Prom, for which he won a Tony Award. (He also has an upcoming role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Nick Fury.)

Pete’s main source of income is his incredibly lucrative contract with the US television network, Saturday Night Live. From his perch there, Davidson can make some pretty generous offers to his more famous brother. It’s certainly paid off. Robert’s now the face of a major fashion brand. He’s also used his fame to launch his own clothing line. (He’s even designed a building in New York City!)

The Sibling BFFs

Thanks to the power of social media, the two brothers now live their best lives as digital nomads. They use their respective talents and their fame to their advantage. Robert films music videos and often sings along with his clips. (He actually made his musical debut in a YouTube video.) Some of his most popular songs include “Happy” and “I Don’t Want to Talk About Work.”

Pete uses his comedic charm to entertain and inform his followers on social media. He’s often called the “Donald Trump of comedy,” and his viral comments and quips are often laced with political commentary. (He’s also a big supporter of Bernie Sanders and opposed to President Trump’s 2017 tax reforms.)

The brothers are incredibly careful with how they interact with the public. They make sure to keep a safe distance between themselves and their fans. But on social media, they’re often found posting about each other’s career highs and lows. The result is the meme-worthy pair we know and love today.
