The British actor/director/writer/model Robert Pattinson is known for his hot-button social media activity and controversial choices. Most recently, there were serious rumours that he was gay and had a fling with a man. He denied these rumours, but they didn’t exactly end there. On top of all this, he’s become a bit of a womaniser and has had numerous affairs, allegedly including with Taylor Swift and Kristen Stewart. In light of this, it’s not at all surprising that his nude photos have become so popular on the internet. There are, however, two key points to make here.

First Point: Some Of The Pics May Be Retouched

While it’s always nice to see a gorgeous person who isn’t afraid to show off their body, it’s important to remember that some of these photos may be retouched. The rumour mill went into overdrive after a photo of Pattinson surfaced on the internet in November 2016. The image, which was taken in 2005 and shows the actor in a state of undress, was quickly identified as being possibly fake by some people. The rumour that it had been retouched spread like wildfire and, as a result, the image was largely discredited. This was, at least in part, because it didn’t seem like Pattinson was really wearing any clothes in the picture. After this, all of his other nude photos, which had previously circulated with the assumption that they were real, were put into question. Since most of them were taken in the same provocative setting, it led many to believe that some of them, too, had been retouched. So, even though there’s nothing wrong with any of the photos per se, a lot of people question whether or not they’re actually representative of Pattinson’s true physical appearance.

Second Point: Some Of The Pics Might Not Be Old At All

Along with being a prolific social media user, Pattinson is also known for his private lifestyle and penchant for older women. In fact, one of the photos on this list was allegedly taken just last year and shows the actor completely naked with his arm around an older woman. This, of course, doesn’t mean that he’s hitting on every woman he sees; it’s more like he sees something beautiful and interesting about them and wants to engage with them sexually. Unfortunately, not all of these encounters end well. In one instance, a photographer named Jake Adelstein claimed that the actor was very aggressive towards him and tried to throw him down on the floor during an interview. Adelstein also alleged that he suffered temporary back injuries as a result of this incident. He wasn’t the only one either. There are numerous other stories like this from people who worked with Pattinson and/or had an interaction with him on a professional or personal level. It’s not hard to imagine why some people would rather not be in the company of an aggressive and unpredictable person.

The bottom line is this: don’t believe everything you see on social media. Even celebrities and pretty people can have someone else’s photoshopped image on their account, especially if they want to make the picture look more intimate or sexy. It’s always best to look at a celebrity’s actual photos when trying to get a sense of their personality, rather than going by what someone else’s profile says about them. This way, at least you’ll have a chance of actually getting a good idea of what the person looks like. You might also find that some of the photos are of questionable quality and have been greatly edited. This is why it’s always best to look at several sources (i.e. articles, interviews, etc.) when getting the full story on a celebrity.

In any case, it’s safe to say that, as far as celebrity body pics go, Pattinson is one of the more intriguing cases. He’s an enigma wrapped in an oddity inside an entertainer. He’s talented, well-spoken, and handsome in a way that’s both unconventional and thoroughly appealing. In an age of perfection, he’s the anti-social media socialite you can’t help but love.
