Hello beautiful people! It’s been a crazy week and I’m finally getting a chance to sit down and write. Before I ramble on, let’s get to the good stuff. Summer, new beginnings, new opportunities… life is good.

The “sparrows” may have flown the coop but the season is still full of exciting events. Some good, some bad but all in all, it’s been an interesting seven days. Let’s take a look back at some of the most important news stories that shook Hollywood this past week.

ROBERT PATTINSON NEWS 2015

First off, let’s discuss the good news. Last month, we reported that Robert Pattinson was engaged to be married to FKA Twigs, a 26-year-old singer and songwriter. The couple announced their engagement on Twitter and subsequently jetted off to Tulum in Mexico for an intimate wedding celebration. According to a report by TMZ, the couple was wed on November 25 and spent their first night as a married couple at Disneyland. The report also says that the happy couple is already planning for their future children and are considering a summer wedding in England. In other Twigs and Pattinson related news, a source close to the couple told The Huffington Post that they have been dating for about a year and are “absolutely in love.” The source also added that they hope to begin a family as soon as possible.

While we can’t give away Robert Pattinson’s private life, we can certainly give you an idea of what’s going on with the guy behind the scenes. It seems that 2016 is going to be a big year for Pattinson. In addition to his wedding and potential new family member, the actor has a film due for release in April. The untitled film is being produced by the Divergent movie studio, part of the billion-dollar Summit Entertainment empire. The movie is expected to revolve around the concept of love, loss, and redemption and will mark Pattinson’s acting debut. He is also reportedly in talks with Noah Baumbach to star in a film adaptation of the Marriage Guide book. In the meantime, the “Water for Elephants” actor continues to be surrounded by his Twilight family. This past week, Pattinson took to Twitter to post a series of wedding proposals to his more than 350,000 followers. He started the tweet spree with a photo of him and wife FKA Twigs, writing: “Proposal! I love you. Will you marry me? (1st proposal was already tweeted before the wedding).” In his subsequent Tweets, he proposed to his co-stars, Rob and Kristen. He also got down on one knee to propose to Gwen Stefani and Grace Kelly. He ended his plea with a romantic request for his fans: “Just kidding. I want YOU to propose to ME. I’m the jealous type.” It seems that the “Edward Cullen” actor is trying to marry himself out of loneliness. It’s safe to assume that his “Twilight” co-stars have plenty of proposals in mind and are waiting for the right moment to pop the question.

Speaking of waiting, let’s turn our attention to the bad news. Earlier this week, Entertainment Tonight published an article claiming that Rob and Kristen’s engagement was in jeopardy. According to the report, Kristen is said to be unhappy about the direction the couple’s relationship is taking and is looking to end the engagement. On the other hand, a source close to the couple tells Hollywood Life that Kristen is “not in the least bit unhappy” and that she “loves being with Rob.” However, the source adds that the couple is “introverted” and needs some time to process their feelings before they can move forward with their relationship. The insider concluded by saying that this is “more of a trial than anything else” and that “they’re actually very committed to each other.” We’ll have to wait and see what happens with this one. It seems that “Robsten” are both holding out for something better, even if it’s just for each other. We hope that they work things out. In the meantime, Twilight is still going strong. The final installment in the series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, just broke the box office record for an opener when it debuted in theaters this past weekend. The film earned $170 million in its first four days and is now projected to become the biggest movie ever. So, while we wait for news on Rob and Kristen’s engagement, let’s enjoy the ride and remember to keep our fingers crossed!

LEONARDO DICAPRIO NEWS 2015

Another well-known face gracing our screens this month is Leonardo DiCaprio. The 41-year-old actor recently wrapped production on “The Revenant,” director Alejandro González Iñárritu’s harrowing adaptation of James Fenimore Cooper’s classic 1820s novel. In the film, DiCaprio plays a frontiersman-turned-lumberjack who is tasked with avenging his partner’s murder at the hands of monsters. Critics are already hailing the movie as one of the greatest of the year. In related news, DiCaprio will next be seen in the historical drama “Jolie’s Place,” in which he plays a real-life character named Jim Harris. The film explores the turbulent marriage between French actor and director Jean-Luc Godard and American actress and singer Olga Knodoy. The movie is set to hit theaters on December 21.

MATT DAMON NEWS 2015

While we’re on the topic of marriage, let’s not forget about Matt Damon. The 43-year-old actor has been tapped to play a lead role in the film adaptation of Donna Tartt’s bestselling novel, The Goldfinch. The book – which became a Hollywood blockbuster when it was released in 2014 – follows a young man named Theo who finds himself in possession of a valuable goldfinch after his father’s death. The story has been described as a cross between “The Godfather” and “The Devil Wears Prada,” and Damon will play the dual role of Theo and the titular character’s dad, Dr. John Hill. The actor confirmed the news in an interview with The New York Times, saying, “I’m playing a dad in a family drama. It’s funny, I didn’t realize how much I had missed acting until I got to do this. Before this, I had done four or five films, and then I did ‘The Martian,’ and I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is what I was meant to do.’ This is the best work I’ve ever done and I can’t wait for people to see it.” Damon is currently filming the movie in New York with an expected release date of December 25, 2018. In the meantime, Warner Bros. has set a June 15, 2018, release date for Damon’s latest movie, “The Great Wall,” based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Kai Kenichi. The story follows two 19th-century engineers who travel to China to build a wall that will stop armies from attacking each other. The cast includes Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe, and Zhang Zhi Quan. The film is currently in post-production and is set to hit theaters on January 15, 2018.

MELISSA MARSHALL NEWS 2015

Another big celebrity wedding this month was that of Melissa Marshall. The 39-year-old actress tied the knot with actor John Travolta in an intimate ceremony in Italy on October 21, 2015. Travolta has been married five times and has three children from a previous marriage. The two have been dating for nearly a year and reportedly plan to begin a family together. A photo of the wedding party, which included the groom’s children from his previous marriages and their spouses, accompanied the announcement. In related news, shortly after the wedding, Travolta filed for divorce from his fourth wife, Kelly Preston. The pair got into a nasty public battle in 2014 after Preston accused Travolta of verbally and physically abusing her. Preston has denied the abuse allegations and the case was settled out of court with no details being released. In a statement at the time, Travolta said he and Preston were “very happy” that the matter was resolved without further legal proceedings and that they look forward to continuing their professional and personal relationship. We wish the couple all the best.
