I wasn’t really paying much attention to the news last week, simply concentrating on my studies and trying to keep up with my football training. But at some point, I had to break away from my books and check out what was going on in the world of entertainment. News headlines were blowing up everywhere, with the latest being “How Much Does Robert Pattinson Make?” The article went on to explain that the British actor had recently signed on for the highly anticipated movie Dune, where he plays the main character, Paul Atreides.
I don’t know why they decided to ask about Robert Pattinson’s salary in this specific context. Dune is a completely different movie to Gone With the Wind, and the two actors do not even remotely look alike. But maybe the journalists were just trying to make a few more headlines, so I’m sure they’re happy to get any reaction at all. Nevertheless, I had to stop what I was doing and find out how much money I’m likely to make from this acting gig. Luckily, I still had my phone with me, so I could look up my estimated earnings for any given day. It only took a couple of minutes of Googling for the information.
How Much Does Robert Pattinson Make?
The result of my research came up with a rather surprising figure. According to sources, Robert Pattinson will be earning £60,000 for the first day of filming, which is an incredible amount of cash. That’s around $84,400 CAD, which is almost five times what he would normally be pulling down for a day’s work on another film. It appears that for a short period of time, he’s going to be earning a lot of money. But then, everything has to come to an end, and the actor will have to return to his normal, low-paid job. So it’s not like he’s going to be rolling in cash.
What Is Dune?
If you’ve been living under a rock for the last ten years, you might not know what Dune is. Essentially, it’s a science fiction epic, and it’s been compared to Battle of the Worlds and Children of Men in terms of its scope. We’re talking about one of the biggest movies of all time, and it seems that even Robert Pattinson can’t help but admit that he’s somewhat nervous about taking on such a large role. He had this to say about his upcoming movie:
“I’ve never done a lot of films, and to be honest, I’m a bit nervous about doing this one. It’s the biggest role I’ve ever played — it’s a lifelong dream to play Paul Atreides — and I really want to do it justice. It probably won’t come as a huge surprise that such a lucrative role was offered to Robert Pattinson. After all, he’s one of the most in-demand Englishmen currently working in Hollywood. Over the last five years, he’s worked on four major studio movies, two of which were Hunger Games, alongside Jennifer Lawrence. While on the big screen, he’s shown audiences across the globe the charisma, charm, and sophistication of the British upper class.
Is This the End of the Road For Robert Pattinson?
Yes, it seems so. In the last week, we’ve seen an avalanche of Oscar nominations go Robert Pattinson’s way. Amidst the celebration, one mustn’t forget his looming financial dilemma. He already started making preparations for his role as Paul Atreides, purchasing a fancy-looking watch, a belt, and other luxury items. One can only imagine how much all of that is going to cost. It’s going to be a real shame if he can’t find a way to spend the money that Hollywood has so generously given him.
