Many a romantic have been inspired by the charming and cosy atmosphere of a vintage or classic London bus.
If you too have been captivated by the vintage London bus, then you’ll love reading about the incredibly photogenic actor who plays the character of Edward Cullen in the popular American TV series, The Twilight Saga. He’s currently taking a year off work following his role in the film Good Time, and has stopped travelling by bus to avoid being photographed.
While on the surface it may seem like a typical day on the set of The Twilight Saga, there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes. The highly anticipated films are now in their second and third years of filming, and the series has become an institution both in the US and UK. With over 1.7 million collective views on YouTube, it would appear that the hype is well and truly warranted.
The Bus Ride
If you’ve got a soft spot for classic London busses, then it’s well and truly world premiere time for the upcoming BBC/HBO series, Victoria. The six-part series charts the early life and loves of Queen Victoria, as seen through the stories of those who knew her. Victoria was the last queen to be married in public before her ascension to the throne in 1837, and she is still widely popular more than 150 years later. The series will star Anette Elbinger as Queen Victoria, and she’ll be accompanied by a dedicated team of actors.
It’s been a while since we featured an article on Celebrazioni, and it’s because we’ve been so absorbed by all things Twilight. The last few years have seen the vampire drama become a cultural phenomenon, and it shows no sign of slowing down. After years of teasing, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse finally confirmed our long-held suspicions: we love our vampires. Naturally, these films have also inspired many a designer replica, and there are now dozens of different T-shirts bearing the Cullen family’s distinct logo, EMETT, or belonging to the fans of the show. These screen characters continue to fascinate, and let’s face it, bewitch, us.
Behind The Scenes
While we’re eagerly waiting for the next instalment of The Twilight Saga, there are other projects demanding our attention. One can’t help but wonder how On The Road, the new film by American director, Jim Jarmusch, will fit into his already packed schedule. Following the ensemble cast of Starred Up and Dead Man’s Shoes, Jarmusch will reunite with his long-term collaborator, Bill Murray, for a third time. The film will star Murray as an aging, aimless, car salesman who teams up with a young upstart, played by former child star, Garrett Hedlund, for a road trip across America.
The director and his cast and crew are currently in America’s wilderness, the Grand Canyon, and they’ve documented the experience on Instagram. We can’t get enough of these unique images, which are guaranteed to charm. Especially when the light is just right, it feels like you’re transported away from the hustle and bustle, and into the heart of America. It’s inspiring to see how much dedication has been put into this project, and we can only hope that it’s rewarded with awards and good box office returns.
The Future
While some may find the idea of a TV show about Queen Victoria slightly offensive, considering her humble beginnings as a Canadian seamstress’ daughter, it’s clear that her life and legacy is deeply ingrained in the British psyche. With Victoria and The Twilight Saga, we’ve witnessed a resurgence in interest for all things historic, and it’s created an opportunity to celebrate some of the most fascinating characters from history’s most famous families.
