Rocking your average five o’clock shadow and scrumptious smile, Robert Pattinson is truly one of the most handsome men we’ve ever seen! And it seems his charm and good looks aren’t the only weapons in his arsenal. In addition to his phenomenal personal life, the 27-year-old British actor is considered one of the best in his field. So it’s no wonder that the paparazzi are always lurking, eager to catch a glimpse of this superstar.
The Filthy Rich Cousin
While filming the drama Water For Elephants, Pattinson found himself in a relationship with actress Talulah Riley. The pair became engaged in 2014 and tied the knot just this past November (14). Despite their newlywed bliss, there have been rumors swirling around the news that this famous billionaire playboy isn’t actually completely faithful to his wife. While nothing has ever been proven, it doesn’t seem outlandish to think that a man with such a luxurious lifestyle would have plenty of opportunity to cheat. After all, who wouldn’t like to get away with a occasional fling?
The Bad Penny-pincher
Pattinson grew up attending a private school in London and then reading literature at Oxford. He eventually made his way to the big city to study at London’s prestigious drama school. It’s quite a story, really. Not only has he managed to parlay his Hollywood career into a successful acting gig, but he’s also turned his good fortune into creating a lucrative production company, Rover Films. He’s even partnered with luxury goods brands to create exclusive collections of clothing and accessories. So it’s no wonder that the tabloids have dubbed him “Britain’s richest bachelor.” Not that being a millionaire and famous are bad things, but it’s safe to assume that he could have chosen a different path if he’d wanted to. He’s certainly not your usual bachelor!
The Sexually Ambiguous Romantic
Before Pattinson officially became engaged to Riley, there was already speculation regarding what his intentions were. The British actor has always been a bit of a free spirit, which many of his fans find endearing. He’s even said that his good looks aren’t exactly “sales” tools – that he uses his charm to connect with viewers.
In 2013, during an interview with Vogue, the British starlet opened up about her sexual preferences, saying, “I guess I’m a pansexual, in the sense that I love men and women. I’ve never really felt like I fit in any one box.” So it would seem that while Riley may be the future Mrs. Pattinson, their sex life will likely remain a subject of curiosity. At least, for a while. It’s unclear whether or not this is a characteristic that will eventually wane as the couple get older together. Perhaps they’ll be able to enjoy an intimate night together without the world knowing.
It’s been a whirlwind couple of years for the British actor. Aside from his newfound fame, he’s had the opportunity to work with some of Hollywood’s top directors. He’s been critical acclaimed for his work in major studio films like The Hobbit, The Weinstein Company‘s The Great Gatsby, and Warner Bros.‘ The King’s Speech, as well as smaller films like Peter Weir’s Master and Commander: The Far Word and the dark comedy The Beaver. His next project Beauty and the Beast premieres this month (January 2017).
An Intellectual Hunk
Whether or not Pattinson will continue to attract women because of his good looks is a question he’s often asked about. The actor has said that he believes his brain and the way he treats people are the reasons he’s so attractive. During an interview with GQ in 2016, he said, “I think a lot of it has to do with my curiosity about the world and my intelligence. People can sense that I’m passionate and interested, and that is something that is often hard to find in a man. And I think that is why I am so attractive to women – because they can see that I’m trying to improve myself and the world around me.”
So far, Pattinson’s fans seem to agree. According to a 2016 Vogue survey, the British actor has the most attractive fans in the world. The majority of respondents chose him as their favorite actor, and 70 percent described him as very charming. Not bad for a guy who’s often credited with kicking off the “Hot Young Turk” trend.
