Another important part of your character is that he is struggling with his mental health. We know that acting is a difficult profession because of the constant pressure to perform. However, this intense pressure can cause a lot of harm to your mental health. We want to advise you to take care of yourself and to seek help if you are not feeling good. This is especially important for an actor who is portraying a character who is mentally unstable. The Movie
The movie is called High Life, and it is currently in post-production. We have seen a rough cut, and we have to say that it is breathtaking! The level of detail and the quality of the movie are exceptional. Every little thing is perfect, from the costumes to the sets to the cinematography. It is truly a work of art!
There is also a lot of action in this movie, which makes it very exciting! We were a little worried that the lack of dialogue would make the movie seem too monotonous, but the opposite is true! We would like to advise you to not focus too much on the dialogue, but to instead enjoy the action. Sometimes it is better to just let the dialogue flow naturally and not worry about whether or not it makes sense.
The best part of the movie is that it is very authentic. Although some of the events and scenes in the movie might seem embellished for the sake of the story, the overall feel and tone of the movie are very real. This is mainly thanks to the incredible directorial debut of Marti Subramanian. She has a unique way of telling a story that makes it feel all the more real!
One of the things that makes High Life such an incredible movie is that it is the first feature-length film to come out of Australia in a long time! We know that there are a lot of Aussies out there who want to see their countrymen represent them on the big screen, and this is your chance! Make the most of it!
The Sets
The Australian countryside is breathtaking! We can already tell that you will do an amazing job portraying this unique landscape. Whenever you are filming outside, make sure to wear sunscreen and protective clothing. The climate is very harsh, and the sun is very strong, so make sure that you are well protected!
The costumes in the movie are also very unique and fitting for the characters. Marti Subramanian has said in interviews that she based the costumes for the movie on the iconic outfits of the 1920s and 30s, which are considered to be some of the most gorgeous and influential fashion periods of all time. We can see that this is true from the costumes alone, but it certainly does not hurt that the costumes look incredible on the actors either!
The Locations
High Life is completely set in Sydney, which is why it is called High Life. The city is a gorgeous mix of nature and culture, which is why you will find a lot of artistic and unique clothing, as well as incredible restaurants and cafes. This is one place that you must visit if you are in Sydney!
Another spot that you must add to your itinerary is the Rocks, a neighborhood in Sydney that is filled with history. You will find a lot of cobbled streets and beautiful, unique buildings. The perfect way to explore the Rocks is on foot. There are lots of restaurants and cafes there, along with bars and clubs, which you and your crew can enjoy after a long day of shooting!
