Well, this is going to be one hell of an Entertainment News story. Just recently, Hollywood actor Robert Pattinson was interviewed by a Spanish Lady named Terra from a popular Spanish language online magazine. In this wide-ranging interview, which was published last week, Pattinson opens up about a number of interesting things. Most notably, he discusses the making of Twilight, the reaction to the movie, and whether or not he’ll be doing any more feature films.

On the Reception of Twilight

Pattinson begins by talking about how he originally got involved in making Twilight. It was during the filming of his previous movie Saving Mr. Banks, which was released in December 2012, that he heard about a little movie called Twilight. He wasn’t very familiar with it, and had never heard of its author, Stephenie Meyer, but he was immediately captivated by the story. The movie had originally been filmed as a TV miniseries for an Australian network, but the head of the network, in question (sorry, can’t remember which one), decided to release it in theaters as a wide release, which is unusual for a miniseries. As a result, many people didn’t know what to make of it, and it struggled at the box office.

Meyer, who wrote the Twilight series, began tweeting about the movie a month after its premiere, and has continued to tweet about it ever since. One of her latest tweets was published on December 18, 2018, and is addressed to Pattinson: “Hey @bobpattinson, I loved making Twilight. It was a lot of hard work but so much fun. It’s definitely one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Thanks for lending me your voice! #twilighthardy.”

Meyer is most likely referring to Pattinson’s performance as Emmett Cullen, whom she has described as “one of the most difficult roles [she] have[s] ever played,” and who is voiced by the Australian actor. In the series, Emmett is a pale and sickly college student who develops a crush on his dorm mate, Bella (played by the actress), whose family moves to Oregon when she graduates. Emmett tries to convince Bella to hang out with him, but she initially rebuffs his romantic overtures. However, over time, she begins to see herself in a different light, and eventually accepts his proposal. It should be noted that Emmett’s character is the only one in the entire series who isn’t explicitly referred to as “Twilight.” In the comment section of a Twitter post from August 23, 2018, Meyer wrote: “Just letting you know that, at least according to Shazam, your character, Emmett Cullen, is the most popular in the Twilight universe. Love him or hate him, you can’t get away from that character. He’s been saving the day since the beginning.”

Pattinson, who is generally quite private, didn’t just talk about Twilight with Terra, as he spoke openly about many different topics, including the difficulties he had adjusting to celebrity, his opinions on the fashion world, and how he’ll handle the next big transition in his life. Here’s a roundup of the most interesting things he said.

Difficulties With Celebrity

While working on the set of Saving Mr. Banks, which is based on the author Charles Dickens’ life, Pattinson found himself falling into an unaccustomed role as a celebrity. He talked about how hard it was to adjust to this new lifestyle: “I didn’t realize how much everyone would want your picture. It was very weird to wake up every morning and see your face on the front cover of a magazine. It was a bit of a culture shock.”

He continued: “After the movie came out, I started getting recognized a lot. People would come up to me and say ‘Hey, that was a cool movie’ or ‘I love your work, man.’ It was nice, but it didn’t feel real. I wasn’t used to people talking to me. I’d been acting for 12 years, and this was a whole other ballgame. I guess I’d been spoiled by just doing the same thing for so long.”

Pattinson also spoke about trying to maintain his privacy while living in a Hollywood studio, and how difficult it was to go back to his old life once filming had finished: “It’s amazing how much you miss something when it’s gone. Even though I was still technically acting on camera, a big part of my life had changed. It was hard to go back home after all that time.”

The Australian actor noted that he didn’t feel right going to work every day, and would often stay up late at night, drinking wine and watching Netflix. This is when he’d decompress from his demanding day, and enjoy the peaceful solitude that comes with being in the guest bedroom.

On Fashion And Style

Pattinson doesn’t just act on camera, he also models for magazines. And what do you know, he’s been in more than a few good ones. The 49-year-old actor said that he enjoys experimenting with fashion, and is always willing to try new things: “I love playing with fashion and style. Sometimes I’ll wear a plain T-shirt with jeans, and that’s cool. Or I’ll wear a colorful shirt and jeans, and that’s even cooler. So, I guess you could say that I enjoy playing dress-up.”

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to fashion and style. We all have different tastes, and that’s what makes it so much fun to experiment with what suits us best. And who knows—perhaps in a few years, we’ll be seeing Pattinson in an entirely new look! We can always hope.

How To Handle Future Transitions

Pattinson is currently single, and has been open about his interest in meeting women. The actor spoke openly about his hopes and dreams, as well as the challenges he faces in finding the right person: “I’m looking for that special someone who will make me happy and comfortable, and who I can talk to about anything. I want to be able to share my deepest secrets with her, and not worry about what she’ll say. I want to be able to trust her.”

Pattinson continued: “I’ve never really had a close relationship with my family. While I love them, I’ve always felt a little bit alone. Especially after my mom passed away, I realized how much I needed to bond with someone. So, I’m looking for that special someone who will make me happy and comfortable, who I can talk to about anything. I want to be able to share my deepest secrets with her, and not worry about what she’ll say. I want to be able to trust her.”

This is a side of Pattinson that few people know about. The Twilight series gave him the opportunity to explore these issues more deeply than he ever had before, and he seems to have embraced his new found fame, using it as a vehicle to speak about topics that he wouldn’t normally discuss. This is very moving, and shows just how much he cares about the people who have supported him through this transition, however difficult it may have been. Hopefully, we’ll continue to see more of this beautiful side of him in the future. And for those of you who haven’t yet seen Twilight, well, we’d best keep an eye out for it! It was released a little more than a year ago, and still holds up as one of the best films of the last decade. It deserves another look from everyone.
