It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Robert Pattinson. Since bursting onto the scene with his debut role in the film Water for Elephants in 2010, the British actor has mostly kept himself to himself. But now that he’s turning 30, the actor decided to take the spotlight off of himself and celebrate the beauty of women everywhere with his Instagram followers.

The result is an archive of some of the most stunning Instagrams ever assembled. Whether you’re a fan of his work or not, it’s hard to not be drawn into the magic of these photos.

The Evolution Of A Metaphysical Metronome

It’s been a busy year for new music fans. From Ariana Grande’s blockbuster album My Love to Taylor Swift’s blockbuster Reputation, 2019 was a whirlwind of pop-culture activity.

But perhaps one of the most interesting stories to unfold this year is that of Robert Pattinson’s love affair with music. The singer-songwriter formerly known as the singer of the band Maroon 5 has credited his time in prison as a catalyst for his songwriting output and musical experimentation.

In an interview with Vogue, Pattinson said, “I’d been thinking a lot about music, about creating something new, trying out new sounds. So, in a way, going to prison was the best thing that ever happened to me. It gave me the confidence to do what I wanted to do. It was the best possible scenario. I wrote my first song [in prison] and then my family and friends helped me find the melody. It was a really nice moment, being able to share it with everyone.”

Since his time in prison, the musician has kept himself busy, releasing a string of singles, including the aforementioned “First Song,” alongside an album of all-original material titled Just Like Heaven. Both projects were met with critical acclaim and became commercial successes. Most recently, Pattinson collaborated with the electronic musician Flume on a track called “I Love You.”

Pattinson’s Use Of Instagram Is Insightful

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this batch of photos is how effortlessly they capture the essence of pure genius. From the way he effortlessly strums his guitar to the way he moves through a room full of people with such confidence, this is a man at the top of his game. And it all starts with the way he uses Instagram.

Pattinson’s first Instagram post dates back to 2010, but he didn’t start getting serious about using the platform to its fullest potential until a few years later. In early 2018, he revealed that he’d been taking notes from other famous Instagrammers and using that knowledge to enhance his own feed. At the time, he told the New York Times, “I just want to make sure I don’t dumb down my content. I want to make sure that whenever I share something interesting or funny or creative, my followers know exactly what they’re getting into.”

If you’ve ever seen an interview with the English actor, you’ll know that he’s extremely intelligent and has a keen eye for fashion. One of his favorite fashion moments is when a visitor entered a store and asked the store owner for help. When the owner turned to the person, he was confronted with a rack of women’s clothes. And all the person said was, “I’m looking for a suit for my dad.” That’s when the man walked out, never to return.

Pattinson’s fashion sense has led to some pretty incredible style moments. Take, for example, the time he wore a beautiful yellow dress and paired it with a green purse. For a while, the combination was a thing. But now, it’s more common to see the 28-year-old sporting black clothing and accessories.

An Album-Length Re-Matching Of Dresses From The 1950s

While the above story is funny, it also speaks to an important point about Pattinson’s use of Instagram. The English actor has always had a talent for choosing the most stunning of outfits, and his knack for styling dresses has led to many an internet collage dedicated to re-creating iconic fashion moments from the past.

There’s also a special section of his feed that’s dedicated to re-creating iconic fashion moments from the 1950s. With help from a team of fashion stylists and set designers, Pattinson has chronicled the fashion evolution of women from that era, beginning with a series of photos displaying the most stunning and feminine of dresses from the 1950s.

In a behind-the-scenes video documenting this project, one of the fashion stylists explains, “We wanted to show how the fashion industry has changed over the years and how much it’s evolved to fit contemporary standards. This was a way for men to reminisce on beautiful, feminine women from the past while being reminded of the amazing fashion stylings of those days.”

The culmination of this project is an album of sorts, featuring a collection of the most stunning dresses from the 1950s, paired with similarly stunning women. The album is, fittingly, named Dresses and is the first installment of a projected trilogy.

Pattinson’s Evolution In Film

Besides his work as an actor, Pattinson is also credited with producing and directing the 2014 indie film Warm Bodies. Set in New York City during the early 1980s, the film focuses on a zombie romance between a human and an apeshit zombie. In addition to starring in his first major studio film, Water for Elephants, since 2010’s Twilight, in 2019, Pattinson took on the role of a vampire in the upcoming 2020 adaptation of The Canterville Ghost. In addition, the actor will serve as an executive producer on the upcoming Netflix biopic Elton John.

All told, it’s been a busy year, and it’s only March. So far, it’s been a great year for movies, and it’s only the beginning.
