Is there anyone in the world more recognizable than Robert Pattinson? The latest installment in the Twilight saga has been named after one of its most prominent characters, and it’s safe to say that the actor is living up to his namesake. Pattinson has been spotted wearing a yellow top on so many occasions that even the most ardent Twilighter might have a hard time keeping track of all his wardrobe choices.

Latest Episode

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past year and a half, you might not know that Twilight: The Movie is finally upon us. The final installment in this massive film series opens in theaters across the country on July 9th, and fans are being given a final teaser in the form of a trilogy of short films. One of these, titled Just One of the Guys, is a hilarious portrayal of a nerf battle between Robert Pattinson and co-stars Taylor Lautner, Jackson Rathbone, and Adam Levine.

In this movie, the guys are out for a stroll when they see a young woman approaching. Thinking it’s another of the group’s legendary catchphrases (“After you, Rosie!”), they step aside to let her in. As it turns out, she’s a stranger—and a total stalker. Enraged, they begin to fight, with the young woman getting in a few good blows before finally being knocked out cold. This begins a wild night of mayhem where the men fight for survival. This isn’t your typical Hollywood party scene, as most of the fighting is done in slow motion and in extreme close-up. The fight scene between Lautner and Pattinson in particular is an absolute blur, as it goes on for what feels like an eternity. Lautner actually does most of the fighting here, and the camera stays fixed on him the whole time, even when he’s not in focus.

Before we get to the outfits, let’s look at another of Taylor Lautner’s recent film choices. You might know him from his role in the Divergent or X-Men franchises, but he’s also proven to be a pretty solid action-adventure leading man. His most recent film, Aftermath, is currently in post-production and doesn’t have a release date yet.

Most Recent Outfit

The first time we see Robert Pattinson in the yellow top, it’s not even noon yet and he already looks cool as a cucumber. The A-list actor is relaxing at home when a casually dressed Lautner knocks on the door. The funny thing is that the two never actually met—they’re just teaming up for this movie. Aftermath will be Lautner’s next project, and it will finally give the two famous faces a chance to work together. Lautner’s character, Kane, is a survivalist and former Olympic hopeful who teaches Pattinson how to handle himself in an urban environment. The actor has been keeping busy since Twilight ended, and this will actually be his first proper collaboration with Taylor Lautner. Aftermath hits theaters on August 11th.

Most Popular Outfit

While most of the world was still hungover from the holidays and the New Year had just begun, Robert Pattinson was already making headlines in early 2019 for his latest fashion statement. He surprised fashion fans and social media followers when he showed up at the Victoria Beckham 2016 Collection show in a stunning yellow dress. This wasn’t a one-off incident either; a few weeks later, he was spotted on the red carpet in Madrid wearing a similar dress.

Pattinson’s stylings weren’t limited to one or two designer outfits, either. While in town for the Oscars, the actor was photographed wearing a variety of bespoke suits by famed English designer Henry Holland. He wore a yellow suit with a pink shirt and a navy blue suit with a yellow shirt during the Oscars, and his full wardrobe as chosen by Henry Holland was available to see on his official Instagram account. At least he’s keeping busy.

Outfit Roulette

It’s time for another round of Outfit Roulette! In the first installment of this series, we looked at some of the memorable outfits our favorite A-list stars wore over the years. This time around, we’ll take a look at some of their most recent designs and ask you to decide which ones you like best. Keep in mind that these are just plain old clothing items that the celebs happened to wear at some point in their careers. No offense, but these aren’t exactly designer duds. Also, the stars’ wardrobes have changed over the years, so some of these items may not even be available anymore.

Let’s get started with a classic look that we’ve seen on so many of our favorite celebs. As you’ll see in the photos below, it’s difficult to choose between the yellow top or white skirt combination. The yellow dress is an iconic piece, and it has been worn by so many famous women over the years that it practically qualifies as a fashion cliché.

The best thing is that you can’t go wrong with this look. It’s simple but classy, and it always works. When it comes to the white skirt and yellow shirt combination, it’s safe to say that it’s been around for long enough to be considered a classic piece as well. You’ll often see this ensemble paired with yellow accents, like the sun itself, to give it that extra zing. This is one of the most popular outfits the actress wore while promoting The Farewell in theaters across the country last year.

Casual Friday

The casual Friday look isn’t anything new, and it’s been around for as long as most of us can remember. What is new is how quickly this look has taken over the fashion scene. According to a recent study from the United Kingdom, nearly half of men’s wardrobes are now dominated by denim, with the most iconic pair coming from Italy. While most men’s garments have started to adopt this casual vibe, women have maintained a more formal outfit style. The UK Fashion Observatory noted that the biggest change has been in casual dresses and trousers, with the most iconic piece being the yellow Jumpsuit.

Despite all this effort to keep things casual, fashion pundits are quick to point out that this isn’t exactly a fitting description of the way these garments should be worn. Jeans and T-shirts are fine for a day at the beach or an intimate dinner with a significant other, but your average professional will want to look more dashing than comfortable. For the very best look, you’ll want to work with a tailor to ensure that your clothing fits you perfectly.

Dressing To Impress

Just as with most facets of popular culture, the fashion industry has been rocked by social media. Celebrities of today have emerged as fashion influencers who routinely keep fans engaged through constant uploads of themselves wearing a range of designer garments. This phenomenon has led to a shift in the way we look at celebrity and fashion. Where once we might have turned to Vogue or high-end magazines for the latest trends, we now have access to influencers’ Instagram accounts, where they show us the latest clothing lines and accessories.

In some cases, these influencers will work with professionals to ensure that their outfits look as good as new. After the huge success of the #DressingToImpress campaign spearheaded by Anna Wintour, the most powerful woman in fashion, it’s clear that this approach can work. Just like with other famous creators on social media, we’re able to engage with our favorite influencers on a daily basis, keeping them constantly relevant.

The Evolution of Style

Fashion has always been a reflection of society’s changing mores. At the turn of the century, men’s fashion was dominated by suits and sports attire. Women in the decades before World War II dressed in florals and chiffon, with little attention paid to fit or style. As society became more accepting of women in corporate America and other professional environments, women’s fashion shifted to the right, with the focus increasingly on fit, glamour, and a return to simpler, more feminine and floral-inspired looks. In more recent years, the pendulum has begun to swing back in the other direction. Today, men’s fashion is largely defined by a focus on fit and style, with corporate America and other professional environments embracing a more eclectic and individualistic outlook.
