Everyone knows what Robert Pattinson looks like. The question is now: What does he look like now?

The 31-year-old actor and musician hasn’t exactly kept a low profile since his role in the 2011 film, Twilight, catapulted him to international fame. Since then, he’s appeared in several big-budget films, released a solo album, and even hosted his own TV show. All while maintaining his mysterious charm.

The intense media training probably paid off. Over the years, Pattinson has perfected the art of being accessible to the public while still keeping some mystery. He’s now able to show the world a new side to his personality, one that’s much more mature and less vulnerable than fans might be used to. With all this in mind, let’s take a look at what Robert Pattinson looks like now.

How Does He Look?

Let’s start with the basics. Where did he come from genetics-wise? Is he more likely to be a son of a baker or a butcher? Does he eat eggs for breakfast, or would cereal and bread be more suitable culinary choices? Does he prefer peanut butter or jelly on his sandwiches?

Pattinson was born in London on April 28, 1986, to Irish parents. He has a younger sister, Beth, who is three years his junior. The family lived in Dublin for a while before returning to London when Robert was five years old.

While growing up, he attended Feltham College in London, where he played soccer, before going on to study drama at the University of Nottingham. After graduating, he moved to New York City, where he joined the cast of the Broadway show, Black Book.

There, he caught the eye of the Hollywood community and landed a role in the 2009 film, Varsity Blues, in which he played a biochemist named Chris Hapsburg. The following year, he had a role in the action film, The Rite, and then played the lead in the independent romantic comedy, Just Checking In. In 2012, Pattinson landed the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight series, which quickly became one of the highest-grossing films of all time. Since then, he’s appeared in three more Twilight films and their 2015 installment, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

As mentioned, Robert Pattinson has gone through a lot in his lifetime. It’s safe to say that he’s seen more sides of life than most people see in a decade. Having been through so much, how does he fare now?

Well, he’s still young. So, he’s probably not as damaged as you’d presume. On that note, let’s examine his mental health. Is he as fragile as we think he is? Does he possess a dark side that we haven’t yet seen?

Is He As Fragile As We Think He Is?

Based on his recent interviews and social media posts, Pattinson doesn’t seem to be as depressed or anxious as we’ve seen him in the past. It seems that life has improved for the British actor, who is currently single and lives in Los Angeles.

In an interview with Vogue, he said, “I think I’m in a good place now. I’ve been very lucky to have the life that I’ve lived so far. I’ve had a lot of fun, but also a lot of challenges.”

“I feel like I’ve matured as a person. I feel like I’ve gained a lot of experience,” he continued. “I’ve been very fortunate that my career has continued to develop and change. So far, it’s been incredibly positive.”

“I definitely feel like I’ve taken a step back and reassessed a lot of the things in my life,” he told Elle UK. “I’ve been very lucky to have a lot of support, and I’ve had a lot of people believing in me.”

What Has His Career Looked Like?

Since the beginning, Robert Pattinson’s career has been anything but ordinary. He’s had one foot in the acting world and one in the music world, which is why he’s been able to transition so seamlessly between film and television. He’s even scored a solo album, which he’s performed live. It was released on November 2, 2018, and named, Walking off Sands.

Pattinson’s acting career has spanned from 2009 to the present day and he’s probably best known for playing Edward Cullen in the Twilight film series. In addition to that, he’s appeared in the films Water for Elephants, Grand Tour, Paddington, and most recently, the 2019 horror movie, The Invisible Man. He’s currently filming the independent movie, High Life, and is set to appear in Season 2 of the Netflix limited series, The Irishman.

As mentioned, he’s released a solo album, Walking off Sands, which is available for purchase on all major online retailers. The album features a selection of covers of classic songs as well as original material written by Pattinson. In an interview with Rolling Stone, he said, “I guess over the last few years, I’ve become quite nostalgic, and the album is a collection of songs that represent my childhood. A lot of the songs on there are acoustic renditions of songs I grew up listening to, like the Animals, Small Faces, Jimmy Page, and Led Zeppelin.”

“You can hear all of those influences in my music, but my main goal was to make music that I would listen to myself. There are no guests. It’s all me and the boys from London.”

Has He Changed As A Person?

Well, as we’ve established, his career has been pretty extraordinary, spanning from one of the most successful film franchises to a solo album. Does that mean he’s been influenced by all this success and is now unable to function without it?

The evidence suggests not. Pattinson still maintains his goofy charm as evidenced by a series of recent Instagram posts. These photos feature him in colorful, mismatched outfits and show that he still has a zest for life, despite all that he’s been through. In an interview with Grazia, he said, “I’ve felt very lucky to have been able to travel the world, make films, and perform music, so far. But as much as I love my job, I’ve always felt like I could still improve and evolve as a person and a performer.”

The same can be said for his music. While Walking off Sands is primarily an acoustic album, it still features a heavy metal influence. In the aforementioned Rolling Stone interview, he discussed his musical upbringing. He recalled, “My parents bought me a guitar when I was about 10 years old. It was a classical guitar, which meant I had to take lessons from a professional. They also sent me to a private school, which was extremely unusual for working-class kids like myself. So, I guess you could say I had it pretty good.”

“I didn’t always want to be an actor,” he continued. “I dabbled in acting when I was younger, but music is in my blood. I started performing in bands in college, and the rest is history.

“Performing music is a great way to express yourself artistically, but it can also be a great stress reliever. After a long day of filming, I’ll often listen to music and find that it helps me unwind and relax. Sometimes, I’ll create music for filmsI’m acting in, especially if the script is very emotional. It can also be a great tool for directors to have while filming – especially if they aren’t that into sound or mixing. Sometimes, I’ll write songs and perform them myself, if I have a good enough band. Or, I’ll record some acoustic versions of classic songs for promotional purposes. So, music continues to evolve with me as an artist, and I hope that my fans will continue to allow it to do so.”

What Does He Want To Do With His Life?

Based on everything we’ve discussed so far, it’s clear that Robert Pattinson has dedicated himself to being an exceptional human being. He seems to have found peace in himself, due in no small part to his Buddhist beliefs. His Instagram posts are full of spiritual quotes and affirmations as well as inspiring photos of nature and the outdoors.

He also seems committed to being available for his fans. While he hasn’t exactly kept a low profile since the beginning of his career, he’s made himself more accessible to his audience.
