They Are Made For Each Other

If you thought that the recent wave of celebrity break-ups was a unique phenomenon, think again. It seems that the old saying that opposites attract isn’t exactly true. In fact, quite the opposite is often the case. When two people are made for each other, even if they don’t realize it yet, it often leads to trouble. This may be the case with Robert Pattinson and Harry Styles.

The “Twilight” series made waves when it first came out in 2008, but the true impact of the vampire saga would only become apparent years later. In the years that followed, the story of the vampire and the actress turned supermodel would inspire countless memes, troll Instagram accounts, and even a Tinder commercial. While the original films centered around Bella Swan’s (played by Kristen Stewart) love for Edward Cullen (portrayed by Robert Pattinson), it was the characters’ mutual dependence on one another that would resonate most with audiences. In the final film, “Eclipse,” the couple’s undeniable chemistry is obvious even if they aren’t wearing wedding rings. With their long-awaited sequel set for release later this year, it seems that their fans don’t want to wait a lifetime to see these two share a passionate kiss on screen again. As it turns out, however, some people live in a make-believe world and if they aren’t careful, they might just stumble into a fairy tale.

For those unfamiliar, Harry Styles is a former member of the British pop group, One Direction. After the group broke up, he released a solo album and quickly became one of the biggest names in contemporary pop music. The album, “Afterglow,” topped the Billboard Top Albums chart and spawned several hit singles including “Sign of the Times,” “Sweet Creature,” and “Adagio.” While his music career has undoubtedly been fruitful, Styles has not been without his share of controversy. In 2014, he was accused by several women of sexual misconduct, including the aforementioned actress and model Cara Delevingne. Since then, he has vocally supported the #MeToo movement and made a conscious effort to ensure his music is artist-driven and as un-corporate as possible. While he has yet to comment on the specific accusations leveled against him, he has remained committed to being a better artist and person.

As for whether or not the two will actually get married, that remains to be seen. For now, let’s just hope they keep making us laugh and crying tears of joy as they navigate the choppy waters of romantic comedy. In the meantime, they’ll remain one of the most fascinating celebrity couple stories of the 2010s. And maybe, just maybe, this time, they’ll pull off the happy ending we’ve all been waiting for.
