Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is the eagerly awaited prequel to 2001’s Harry Potter film series. The Harry Potter franchise is the biggest of its time, making more than $11 billion around the world and spawning books and spin-offs that continue to this day. With Fantastic Beasts, Warner Bros. seek to continue the magic of the Harry Potter films while also catering to a wider audience, including those who’ve never read a Harry Potter book.

The film’s producer David Heyman teases, “It’s a combination of magic and technology. It’s a magical world, but it’s also a modern world. There are people with long hair and there are people with Short hair. There are hipsters and there are older people. It’s a little bit of Harry Potter, a little bit of Diagon Alley, and something that feels very contemporary.”

Director David Yates adds, “The film opens with a magical moment and then the audience is thrust into a very contemporary setting. So there are very, very distinctive elements. One of the wonderful things about [the Harry Potter series] is it’s very versatile; you’ve got all these different characters but they feel like a part of the same world. It’s great when you can go back and have these references and still feel like it’s fresh and new. That’s one of the great things about this film.”

In one of the most exciting parts of the upcoming film, the returning cast are set to reunite for the first time in 18 years for a major event that will reshape the entire Harry Potter universe. It’s been nearly a decade since Robert Pattinson last graced our screens as the heartbreaker Edward Cullen; however, it seems the actor has found a way to keep himself in shape and is looking positively radiant. In fact, his looks have earned him a whole new group of fans: the “Roobies.”

The “Roobies” are “Robert Pattinson’s Army,” and they’re a dedicated group of fans who adore the actor and his work. “When you have a cult following, it means you’re doing something right as an actor. People connect with your characters and your performances,” Pattinson says of his growing fan base. “The fact that my work has connected with other people is a huge compliment. It means that I was able to explore different aspects of human nature and be somewhat of an inspiration.”

Pattinson first burst onto our screens in 2009’s Good Will Hunting. Since then, he’s appeared in big-budget films like 2013’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 and the most recent Jungle Book. He even lent his voice to the upcoming animated film The Magic Mirror from Star Wars’ director J.J. Abrams.

Pattinson’s resurgence in popularity comes at a time when the actor is more in demand than ever. Fans can now look forward to seeing him in a number of major films set for release in the coming months.
