The cover of the latest issue of GQ magazine is a picture of Robert Pattinson. And what a cover it is!

The photo shoot that the magazine did to celebrate the cover was a sight to behold. It was a dream come true for the magazine and for all of Pattinson’s fans. (And let’s face facts: Fans of the Twilight star are among the biggest and the most loyal in the world.)

The magazine’s creative director, Michael Hodges, gave us the lowdown on the star’s new look:

Robert Pattinson’s Photo Shoot For GQ Magazine: What Is The Appeal Of This Cover?

The cover of the June issue of GQ magazine is special because it features the beautiful actress and model, Kristen Stewart. And what a face she makes on the cover. (We also love her green dress.)

But it’s not just about the woman on the cover. We were also lucky enough to be present for the photoshoot that went into creating the photograph. So let’s take a closer look at what makes this issue so special.

The June Issue Is Special Because It’s The Start Of A New Love-O-Rama!

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Robert Pattinson opened up about the motivation behind his new look.

“I wanted to experiment with different looks,” Pattinson said. “I’ve always loved a good contrast in pictures, and I thought it would be cool to see if I could push the contrast further than anyone had done before. So I started from the outside in, thinking about what would make my skin look good and healthy. I wanted to peel back the layers and see what was underneath.”

Pattinson used an innovative skincare regime that consisted of lots of sunblock and a serum that is supposed to improve the collagen synthesis in the skin. He also confessed that he went under the knife with Hollywood surgeon Stacy Pointer to get rid of all the hair on his arms.

“Because I’ve been so busy driving since I was sixteen years old, and then acting in films and doing photo shoots, I had to take a step back and realize that my skin is getting worse,” he said. “It wasn’t until I turned twenty-five that I decided to do something about it.”

An Innovative Look For A Sensual Male

Not only does the cover of the June issue feature a beautiful woman, but it also marks a special moment in the history of men’s fashion. (Not too many people remember, but the first issue of GQ magazine to feature an all-male cast was in fact dedicated to love.)

The magicians behind the scenes at GQ are known for their innovative approach to photo shoots. (They were also responsible for the highly-anticipated and much-loved 2014 Christmas issue.)

So it comes as no surprise that they would give us something special for the June issue. (As creative director Michael Hodges put it, “We wanted to do something special for our June issue, and we wanted to do it with the people we love most.”) Not only does the issue celebrate the beauty of men, but it also features some of the most stunning male models we have ever seen. (They also had to feel like real men.)

The models are seen in various stages of undress, which adds an extra layer of artistry to the issue.

A Celebration Of Male Beauty

The cover of the June issue of GQ magazine is a celebration of masculinity. And it’s not just the models and the creative direction that make this cover unique. (We’re also looking at you, Michael Hodges.)

The issue is filled with all sorts of men standing in front of the camera in sexy poses. From a classic three-piece suit to a swimsuit that barely covers everything, the men are seen in a wide array of stunning and revealing outfits. (Although we wouldn’t recommend showing off your wobbly bits in a swimsuit, as it can make it really difficult to remove it once you’re in the water.)

The sheer number of beautiful men on the cover of the June issue of GQ magazine is enough to make any self-respecting male star blush. But it’s not just about the clothes. (Although we wouldn’t blame them if they did. We’re sure these suits would sell like hot cakes.)

The men of GQ magazine embrace their bodies with the sort of confidence that comes with knowing they’re beautiful. It’s something to aspire to, and it makes the cover that much more impressive. (We know we speak for all of the women in the audience when we say: Hell yeah!)

A Change Of Pace (And A Change Of Tune)

Another innovation that makes this June issue of GQ so special is the inclusion of a couple of different musical numbers. (We don’t know how they turned down the the Rolling Stones for this one. It would’ve been such an amazing synergy.)

The issue opens with a performance with actor and musician, James McAvoy. (He’s best known for his role in the Oscar-winning movie, “Atonement.”) After a short instrumental piece, featuring an amazing guitar solo by McAvoy, we’re treated to a performance by British singer-songwriter, Adele. (She’s currently touring the U.S. on the adele20 tour, and she’ll be at the Hollywood Bowl on June 30th.)

“I’ve been working on music for about ten years,” said the forty-something-year-old Adele. “I always feel that my next album will be my best one yet.” The Grammy-winning artist continues, “I love taking unexpected twists and turns with my songs. So when Michael [Hodges] said he wanted to do a photo shoot with a theme of love, I knew it would be different to what I usually do. I thought it would be cool to have a little jaunt down memory lane with some of my favorite songs.”

The British-born singer-songwriter released her first album at the age of fourteen, and since then she’s released eight more studio albums and been recognized with a staggering number of awards (including six Grammy Awards). On June 24th she’ll release her ninth studio album, “25.” (The album will feature the singles “Send My Love to You,” “Hello,” and “Adieu.”)

As for James McAvoy, one of the most versatile and interesting performers working today, his performance was a joyful medley of pop and rock songs. (He also did a killer impression of Richard Simmons.)
