Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart went for a photoshoot on Thursday afternoon, and PEOPLE has the exclusive first look at the adorable photos.
Get relaxed in this gorgeous spot right next to the water, which the cast of Twilight reportedly referred to as “Happy Places” because it makes everyone happy to be there. It’s no wonder why: the view is absolutely stunning.

The Moment They Saw Each Other For The First Time
In the photos, Rob is seen meeting Kristen for the first time at the wrap party for the film Clouds Over Chicago. The two appear so comfortable with each other and show such good chemistry that it’s easy to see why they’ve been dating for so long and have filmed the majority of their scenes together. They make a stunning couple.
“Clouds Over Chicago was the first movie we ever saw together. It was the first time we met,” Rob said in September 2016. “We didn’t really know each other that well, and it was our first big break. We were both a little nervous at first, but I think when the lights went down and the music started, we just had a good time.”
Speaking of which, the on-screen chemistry between the young actors was certainly evident in real life. During an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Corden referred to the nature of their relationship: “It’s a love story, the plot revolves around them. You’re not going to like any of this, but it’s true.”
When asked about their chemistry by E! News at the time, Stewart said, “I think it’s safe to say that there’s a lot of it. There’s definitely a connection. We’re really close. I think it’s safe to say that we like each other a lot.”
While they may not always appear to be that close on-screen, off-camera the pair are inseparable. They always seem to be holding hands or holding each other’s hands in the photos, whether they’re posing for a portrait or enjoying a romantic sunset. The photos really do depict a happy and contented couple.
Their Stunning Engagement
While their on-screen romance has been heavily publicised over the years, it wasn’t until 2017 that the couple released an official statement confirming their engagement. The announcement was made at a Twilight junket in Los Angeles, where they were promoting All Hallow’s Night. However, they didn’t confirm their engagement until several days later, in a series of Instagram posts.
“We’ve been experiencing something together for the past year, which has led us to believe that we’re meant to be,” they wrote on Instagram. “It started as an infatuation and turned into something more. We’ve both known for a while now that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We’re happy and looking forward to the future.”
The timing of their engagement was certainly impeccable, as it came barely a month after the release of Twilight, the fifth and final part in the Twilight saga. The film, which was critically panned yet commercially successful, concluded with Bella and Edward’s wedding day, setting the stage for Rob and Kristen to tie the knot.
It was an event film-goers around the world had been anticipating for a decade. What’s more is that the wedding was an event that was almost entirely devoted to Rob and Kristen’s relationship, with the ceremony itself only lasting 15 minutes. The rest of the film’s two-and-a-half-hour run-time was devoted to showing the happy couple’s adventures over the years (and, er, a lot of on-screen nudity).
On the day of their wedding, both Rob and Kristen sported designer gowns. The actor opted for a stunning pale blue dress by Chanel, and Kristen chose a beautiful white gown by Vera Wang.
They both looked incredible and looked like they were having a blast. Their wedding day was certainly memorable, full of passion, joy and excitement.
A Stunning Family
Since then, it seems that Rob and Kristen have sealed their union with a sweet and beautiful ceremony. The couple’s first child, a daughter named Scout, was born in June 2018. The proud new parents have been cradling their little darling in public ever since, often holding hands or cooing at the baby as they make their way around the city.
The family definitely has a presence at Hollywood events. Last year, at the premiere of Toy Story 4, they were seen holding hands as they made their way into the movie. And just last month, at the premiere of The Grinch, they made an appearance as a family, with Rob looking dashing in a tuxedo and Kristen in a stunning lace dress.
While they may enjoy sharing their nuptials and infant daughter with the public, the proud parents-to-be haven’t always had such a demonstrative approach to their relationship. The Huffington Post reports that it wasn’t until after their engagement that Rob began to feel comfortable being more visible as a partner.
“I think it’s safe to say that we’re not really used to showing our relationship in the open yet,” he told Vogue for an article earlier this year. “Once we got to that point, we were like, ‘Why should we be ashamed of this?’ We’re proud of it. Being married to someone you love is the best feeling ever.”
Whether they’re holding hands in the street or exchanging vows in a church, this year’s Royal Wedding will go down in history as one of the most memorable events of the century.
