It’s no secret that the Twilight film series has been a phenomenon. Not only did it reign as the biggest movie series of all time, but it also introduced a whole new generation to the magic of Twilight. Now that the final film has been released and the hype has somewhat settled, it’s time for fans to turn their attention to other projects. Some of the Twilight stars have already started promoting their new movies, while others are taking a more laidback approach to the pandemic.
One of the most interesting characters from the Twilight saga is Robert Pattinson. Despite being one of the biggest movie stars in the world, he has always remained humble and down to earth. Indeed, he has a tumblr where he regularly shares his most interesting pieces of art, drawings, and selfies. The Most Fantasizing Scene in the Series
What’s fascinating about this series of tumblers is that they are all dedicated to a scene from the Twilight saga. This isn’t something we usually see in movie tumblers, and it’s also quite the commentary on the series as a whole. While some of the scenes are quite amusing (especially towards the end when Bella goes a bit crazy and starts imagining things), others are pretty eerie.
Let’s take a look at some of the most intriguing scenes from Twilight. To my knowledge, none of these scenes have ever been published elsewhere, so they’re all exclusive to this Tumblr. Enjoy!
The Birth of Emmet
The very first scene on this list is one of the creepiest in the entire saga. In it, we see Bella (Kristen Stewart) give birth to her son, Emmet (the amazing Tom Hardy). While the shot is somewhat comical when you think about it (after all, who doesn’t fantasize about being a parent at some point?), it’s the kind of humor that makes you squirm.
What’s strange about this scene is that when Bella gave birth to Emmet in the finale of Twilight, she wasn’t actually alone. In fact, she was accompanied by Edward’s (Pattinson) vampire “brothers.” While these undead creatures aren’t actually depicted on screen, you’d assume that they would show up to support their loving sibling. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. In fact, they completely ignore her as she gives birth, turning their backs on her and never looking at her again.
The significance of this moment comes from the fact that in the subsequent film series, we are meant to believe that in addition to being a vampire, Edward is also an ancient bloodthirsty werewolf. So, it would appear that he not only has superhuman strength, but he is also a creature of pure instinct, unable to control his animal side. If that’s the case, then why would his “brothers” turn their back on him as he gave birth to their own nephew? Was it because they felt offended that another wolf had descended on their territory? Or did they feel that being there wouldn’t be beneficial to their blood-relation? These are questions that this particular scene raises, and perhaps they will be answered in a sequel.
The Breaking Of Dawn
This next scene is from the fifth and final film in the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn – Part 2. In it, we see the much-awaited meeting of Bella and Edward’s offspring, who are now grown-up and have a family of their own. In the moments before the final shot, we see some of the protagonists reminisce on their younger, more adventurous days.
It’s interesting to note that while this was the case for Bella and Edward, it wasn’t true for their respective spouses. In this scene, we see Stephanie (Taylor Lautner) arrive early at the mansion and interrupt the intimate moment between Chris (Billy Campbell) and Rosalie (Marie Zeta Jones). While it’s understandable that she wants to be a part of her children’s life (especially since they were such a big part of her own growing up), why does she have to intrude like this?
Apparently, it’s because she fears that her children will end up just like her ex-husband and his new wife. She knows them both well, and she doesn’t want them to become like that. She fears that the kids will grow up to hate her. However, as we know from past experience, this isn’t necessarily the case. In this instance, we see that it’s Stephanie’s actions that make her children dislike her. They don’t blame their parents for their existence; instead, they see her as the villain who put their existence in danger. This is quite a harsh assessment, but it’s what their mother fears most, so it seems only natural that they would resent her for it.
A Humbling Introvert
Another interesting aspect of Robert Pattinson is that he is incredibly humble. Even when he becomes one of the biggest movie stars in the world, he doesn’t lose sight of his roots. As a child, he loved art and story-telling, and it was through these talents that he eventually succeeded in becoming an actor. Even now, he continues to credit his success to his imagination and stories. He routinely posts his animated gifs and pictures of himself in classic poses, such as Leonardo DiCaprio’s “The Wolf and the Lamb.” He is also quite the Photoshop pro, and he often posts retouched pictures of himself, making it look like he has glowing red eyes or is wearing a crown.
However, it’s not just about the glamorous side of Pattoninson. The following tumblr posts highlight his more humble side, including a black and white picture of himself in a schoolboy outfit, a picture of him in his childhood, pictures of him as a child, and even a picture of him sleeping.
The Reunions
If you follow contemporary music, then you’ll probably know that there is an incredibly tight-knit community among musicians. The stars of the Twilight series were no different, and the fans’ obsession with the series led to a series of reunions. We’re seeing stars from the series get together for various events, including concerts and comedy shows. One of the most interesting moments came last year at the Sydney Opera House, where all of the actors who had worked on the series (apart from Stewart, who was on tour in the US at the time) gathered for a concert. The five-hour event was an opportunity for the actors to hang out with their fans and celebrate the series’ legacy.
