With the 2024 Olympic Games just around the corner, the world is counting down the days till then. But, there’s more than one reason why fans might want to be in Orlando in August. Aside from the fact that it’s home to the greatest theme parks ever, it also happens to be the location of one of Hollywood’s biggest parties of the year – the AMP (Asia-Pacific regional) awards. And, last but not least, there’s also the matter of the Grand Prix. If you’re a racing fan, you’ll want to be in Orlando in August!

All In 2022?

If you’re a fan of the King of Comedy, you might be wondering if Robert Pattinson will be returning to theaters. Since 2022 is a little more than a year away, it’s time to ask this question. According to the latest rumors, a Robert Pattinson movie could be in theaters by the end of 2022.

If these reports aren’t false, it would mark the actor’s first return to the big screen since 2018’s Twilight Saga: Eclipse. While it was a decent box office performer ($281 million worldwide), critics and fans alike panned it. However, this didn’t stop fans from wanting more. According to CinemaScore, audiences gave the film a “B” rating, which indicates they were moderately satisfied with the film. If these audiences are anything like the general population, it’s safe to assume that many people are looking forward to seeing Robert Pattinson on the big screen again.

Apart from the return of the king, one of the other big films opening in theaters next year is the James Bond movie, No Time To Die. While the title might lead you to believe that the Bond film series has returned after a seven-year hiatus, that’s definitely not the case. In fact, No Time To Die will mark the first time that Bond has appeared in a movie since 2016’s Spectre. And since the 007 films are some of the most popular movies ever, it will definitely be worth the wait.

Who Will Be Present At The Party?

Aside from the fact that it’s a great party, the AMP (Asia-Pacific regional) awards are also an opportunity for Hollywood to celebrate its achievements and give some shout-outs to its fellow movie-makers. While the Oscars focus heavily on the big-name stars, the AMP awards recognize the supporting roles that are often ignored by the mainstream media. Not that there’s anything wrong with that – it’s just that when you’re winning an award for your supporting role, it’s usually a good indication that you’re actually doing something right.

Last year, the AMP (Asia-Pacific regional) Awards went to…

  • Liu Jiayuan for The Farewell
  • Sunao Ishi for Jeeves Outwits Everyone
  • Karen Ling for The Miracle Worker
  • Mikaela for Judaea
  • Mai Hing for Spring Fever
  • Naomi Osaka for Billardier New York

While it might not be the biggest party in Hollywood, it certainly is one of the biggest Asian film-related events. This year’s AMP (Asia-Pacific regional) Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on August 4th. Several A-list celebrities are expected to attend, including Charlize Theron, Gal Gadot, and Chris Pine. And, considering the year 2020 was such a big one for movies, it would not be surprising to see several big-name Hollywood stars make an appearance.

Why Is The Grand Prix Important?

When a new film releases, whether it’s an ensemble comedy like The Megastar or an animated feature like Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, there’s usually one movie that stands out above the rest – the one that viewers are most likely to go home and watch again. In the case of Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, it’s clearly the animated film’s hilarious script, voice acting, and premise that led to its success. And it wouldn’t be unusual for viewers to rush out and see the next Marvel movie after Black Widow – the same way that fans have bonded with Kylie in recent years, forming “Team Kylie” and “Team Josh” due to their love for Knock On Wood and The Wedding Ringer, respectively.

What’s interesting about the Grand Prix is that aside from being a chance for audiences to laugh, it can also serve as a gauge to see which movies are “hot” and which ones need to be avoided. Take 2021’s The Call of the Wild, for example. Aside from its star, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, who was the face of Nescafé many years ago, The Call of the Wild didn’t really catch on with audiences or critics. And yet, it took the top spot at the box office, raking in $33 million in its first month. But, in all likelihood, you’ve already heard of it and have seen the trailers, making it a bit of a dud. Better luck next year.

Should You Go To See a Film At The Cinema?

This is a difficult question to answer, considering we’re talking about a Hollywood party and a chance to see some of the most iconic stars in the world. But, since we’re also talking about a movie premiere party, I think that it’s important to point out that these screenings are generally intended for an audience. There are exceptions, of course: if you’re interested in seeing a rough cut of a film, you might be able to catch a private screening or an advanced screening at an indie theater. But, for the most part, these are not family-friendly films.

And, as much as I would like to see more family-friendly films, that’s not the point. These screenings are about the stars and the filmmakers themselves. The atmosphere is more akin to a museum than a movie theater. There is no reeking of popcorn or candy, as these theaters are generally screened for a more sophisticated crowd that usually includes film buffs and critics.

Even if you’ve never been to a movie theater, you probably know what one is. There’s usually a movie screen, there’s probably a seat in the middle of each row, and there’s probably a curtain between you and the people behind the screen. At least, that’s what you remember from your childhood. But, nowadays, theaters have changed a lot. They’re not only about showing movies – they’re about entertainment.

What most people don’t realize is that movie theaters used to be places that you could go after your movie was over to eat some popcorn and hang out with your friends. These days, movie theaters are more akin to museums than places where you pay to see a movie. And why is that? It’s all about the business of movies. Back in the day, a movie theater would show one or two feature films per day, which would generally run for ninety minutes to two hours. These days, they show several movies per week, which can range from two and a half hours to six hours. This means that you’ve got to leave the theater before the movie is over, regardless of whether or not it’s been two hours. And if you happen to be there during peak hours, there’s almost always someone seated behind the desk, tapping away at a computer keyboard, waiting for the next ticket for a movie that will likely end before you know it.

The Future Of Movies

With the advancements in technology, it’s almost impossible to keep up with movies as soon as they’re released nowadays. Aside from online streaming services, fans can also download certain titles on mobile devices, like smartphones or tablets. This has opened up several different ways for consumers to access movies – whether they like to read online reviews or watch short films to learn about a certain topic, they have multiple options available to them.
