It’s been an eventful year for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, and it will only be right to say that their wedding anniversary was something to look forward to. On January 24th, the couple quietly married in a small ceremony in Scotland, a few days before Stewart’s birthday. Now that they are officially a married couple, it’s time to celebrate with some exciting news about their wedding date!

In an announcement made via their representative, the couple has decided to tie the knot again in summer 2020. This will be the third wedding for both partners, and it seems that they are determined to have the same theme as their previous events: old Hollywood glamour.

The couple’s previous wedding was held in Twickenham Park in July 2019. The venue was perfect, as it was designed with an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by English gardens. The wedding cake was fashioned after the famous Cock Lane, and the bride’s dress was designed by Sarah Burton.

Stewart had previously married director Rupert Sanders in 2015, and then actor Johnny Depp in 2017. The couple’s romantic history goes back as far as 2013, when they first met at the premiere of The Long Way Home, their joint movie co-production. Since then, they have been inseparable.

More Old Hollywood Than Ever

Despite its vintage feel, the ceremony was anything but traditional, and it included some incredibly unique elements. The guests were treated to a performance by the band Hot Chip, and they were also serenaded by none other than Christina Aguilera, who sang a special ‘wedding song’. The singer has previously collaborated with Stewart on the ‘comeback’ song ‘Come Back To Me’ and performed alongside Depp in the 2018 movie Clemency.

The theme of the event was summed up perfectly by the bride’s dress. Made in a chiffon blend that evoked the golden age of Hollywood, it featured a high-waisted skirt and a bandeau motif, as well as an illusion back panel that gave the appearance of a waterfall. The dress, which marked the beginning of her solo fashion career, was met with rave reviews, with celebrities praising its “lightness’ and “elegance’.” Stewart’s bridal party wore matching dresses, and her sister Gigi wore a similar design by Stella McCartney for her wedding to Dhani Harrison in 2018.

For the wedding night, Robert Pattinson chose to honor the English countryside, and laid down his bachelor pad’s flooring for some old-school English ‘posh’. He also brought a 1970s orange couch for his bride to sit on during the ceremony.

A Wedding To Remember

Over 500 guests attended the intimate ceremony, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Elle MacLeman, Naomi Campbell, Kate Hudson, Joan Collins, Laila Morse, Lily Collins, and more.

The day was filled with memorable moments. Guests were treated to a performance by singer-songwriter Jess Glynne, who had written the couple’s wedding songs. The celebration then moved to Il Casale Murat in Northern Italy for a private reception. The venue is owned by the British royal family and has been the site of many a glamorous affair.

The wedding cake, which was topped with 24 cream roses and lined with marzipan and chocolate rosettes, was a replica of the famous London Zoo cake made famous by TV chef Jamie Oliver. It was a fitting end to a memorable day, as the zoo is one of Stewart’s proudest achievements. The wedding reception, held at nearby Villa La Rotonda, was followed by an intimate dinner for family and friends.

The couple are expected to release photos from their big day in the coming weeks. The photos will be accompanied by a poignant captions, written by the couple themselves.

A Wedding To Plan

For many years, it was considered a ‘wedding dress’ to be chosen by the groom. However, with modern-day bridal trends moving toward a more individualized look, designer gowns are out, and so are the big, formal ceremonies. This year, grooms are looking for something more unique and old-school, which is exactly what their wedding party will be providing.

Instead of choosing a designer gown, the couple decided to go for something simpler but no less stylish: white jeans and a T-shirt. The design of their shirt is by Band Of Outsiders and features the couple’s last name and the number 8 on it. They have also chosen to walk down the aisle to Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl’, an ode to unrequited love that serves as an apt description of their relationship.

The indie-folk troubadours of the 1960s created an anthem for the couple’s wedding. The songwriters of that era captured the unrequited love affair that the pair have been enduring, and it continues to befuddle and charm their guests to this day.
