In August 2022, as the novel coronavirus pandemic was bearing down on us, Robert Pattinson released a music video for a song called “Cuddle Up”. In it, he was shirtless and appeared to be having sex with a woman while lying in bed with her. The singer said the song is about “being in a loving, cosy, cuddly relationship with a woman”. It seemed that whatever restrictions the world’s governments put in place to limit the spread of COVID-19, people’s libidos still hadn’t gone away.
Now that the pandemic is over, the music video has reached over 2.2 million views on TikTok, where it remains one of the most popular videos of all time. If “Cuddle Up” is any indication, and there’s no doubt it is, then the Twilight star is now doing porn. Just like that. Just like Robert Pattinson. Just like Bill Gates. Just like Elon Musk. Just like Mark Zuckerburg. And just like so many others who have fallen victim to the pandemic’s devastating effects.
Why Is He Doing This?
The answer is simple: He’s horny. And he can. Why not? He’s famous. And he can. Why not? He has a lot of money. And he can. Why not? He’s rich. And he can. Why not? He’s talented. And he can. Why not? He has high status. And he can. Why not? He’s handsome. And he can. Why not? He has a great personality. And he can. Why not? He’s interesting. And he can. Why not? He has a good sense of humor. And he can. Why not? He’s charming. And he can. Why not? He has a beautiful girlfriend. And he can. Why not? He has lots of friends. And he can. Why not? He can make people laugh. And he can make them cry. Why not? He can do all of these things. And he can. Why not? He’s an artist. And he can. Why not? He has a fan base. And he can. Why not? He’s funny. And he can. Why not? He can be serious. And he can. Why not? He has high visibility. And he can. Why not? He’s an established celebrity. And he can. Why not? He’s an inspiration. And he can. Why not? He can motivate people. And he can. Why not? He has a bright future. And he can. Why not? So, what’s not to like?
Is This A Bad Sign?
Not necessarily. In fact, for most people, this probably isn’t a bad sign at all. After all, it’s not like Robert Pattinson had always shied away from sexual activity. Back in 2014, he famously appeared shirtless in a music video for the song “Prisoner” by the band the Raconaias. The clip shows Pattinson shirtless and dancing, surrounded by women who are either shirtless or nearly so. In the song, he sings about being “held captive” by the women in his life. One of the things he does in the music video is bang on a snare drum next to a naked female partner. It’s basically a portrayal of what appears to be an S&M relationship.
Is this what we should expect from the “King of Instagram”? Is this how he conducts himself on his social media accounts? Or is this just a bizarre one-off lapse in judgment? It’s hard to say. What we do know is that since coming off the coronavirus pandemic, Pattinson has kept a relatively low profile. This hasn’t stopped him from popping up in various music videos. In some of them, he is shown in a shirtless display. In others, he is completely naked. In one of the videos, he is seen in a series of shirtless scenes. In another, he is shown completely naked. And in still another, he is shirtless and engaging in sex with a woman.
So, is this a bad sign? For those who believe that sexual liberation is a bad thing, it’s probably not a good sign. But, for the rest of us, it’s probably just another reminder of how awesome Robert Pattinson is. He might not always be the most ethical of people, but he’s certainly one of the most talented. Having said that, maybe it’s time for the British actor to make an ethical decision about his life and career. Maybe it’s time for him to join the #MeToo movement and come out as a feminist. Or, at the very least, make a concerted effort to be more ethical. Because, right now, this dude is killing it.
