Robert Pattinson is undoubtedly the most eligible bachelor in the world right now. The 27-year-old Hollywood superstar has never been married and is childless, which makes him a prime catch for any woman. Having said that, there is one quality that sets him apart from other men – and it’s not just the way he looks.
In a brand new interview with Oprah Winfrey, the actor admits that one of the biggest mistakes he’s ever made in his life was going on a blind date with a woman he met on the internet. Though the experience was ultimately painful, Pattinson now knows that there’s more than one kind of love and he’s learned to trust his instincts.

Oprah On Why She Wants To Interview The Man Of Your Dreams
“I want to interview the man of my dreams,” she says in the above video. “I want to find out what makes him tick. What are his hopes, his fears, his regrets?”
It’s clear that Oprah has found her dream guy. After meeting with him for 90 minutes, she reveals that Pattinson has “made me laugh so hard,” is “wonderful to be around,” and that “this has been one of the most interesting, eye-opening experiences of my entire life.”
She goes on to explain that she wants to learn more about the man she’s going to marry because she believes that deep down, everyone wants to know what their husband/wife will be like. But she doesn’t just want to explore his qualities; she also wants to know what makes him tick, what he values in life, and what his dreams are.
It’s fair to say that Oprah knows a thing or two about picking a husband. Back in 2013, she picked a billionaire who ended up divorcing her after a very short lived marriage. Since then, she’s remained single and focused on her career. Will she make the same mistake with her grandkids someday?
Pattinson On If He’s Told Everyone He’s Single Yet
“I’ve actually told everyone I’m single yet,” he says in the interview. “I’ve been open about it. I think it’s good to be able to tell people how you really feel. I’m not going to pretend to be someone I’m not.”
Although he’s spoken to many women privately about whether or not he’s interested in dating again, Pattinson hasn’t yet shared his plans with the public. In fact, he’s kept his personal life very private since his split from Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart back in 2014. It seems clear that he wants to take his time, get to know women on a deeper level, and decide whether or not he wants to start a family of his own. It also seems like he’s learned from his mistakes and wants to meet someone who is made of equal parts brains and beauty.
Pattinson On If He’s Open To Relationships
“I think that if you’re not open to it, you’re missing out,” he says. “I think it’s good to be able to be around people that you’re not necessarily attracted to but are good people. It’s good to have interests that are just a little bit different.”
He goes on to say that he wants to start a family one day and isn’t sure how many kids he wants to have. Having said that, it would be beneficial to the community if he adopted a child. So, he would like to find a woman with children and see if he can be the father to a family.
It seems clear that Pattinson has a type. Back in 2015, he was photographed with a newborn baby in a baby wrap, which some people interpreted as him not wanting to be tied down by a long-term relationship. Since then, he’s mostly been linked to BFFs Victoria Beckham and Stella McCartney. But, whether or not he’s conscious of his preferences, it’s clear that women who meet his standards end up wanting to be in a relationship with him.
