Pattinson is the son of actors Peter and Vanessa and has been a fixture in the teen/young-adult fantasy series since its premiere in 2008. The British-born actor most recently appeared in the sequel “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” which was released last year.
Pattinson has been open about his love for Twilight, tweeting in late February that he is “still in awe of @StephenieMeade for writing such an incredible series.” In the same interview, he also said that he has been a big fan of the author since before she was famous.

Pattinson was born in London in 1985 and raised in Scotland. After moving to Los Angeles at the age of 18 to study at the prestigious Hazelwood School of Visual Arts, he soon began working in fashion. In late 2007, he landed the role of Christian Grey in the film adaptation of “Grey,” a romance novel written by the same name author. The style icon first attracted attention for his distinctive facial hair. After being cast as Christian Grey in “Grey,” he sported a soul patch. Later in the year, he added an earring, a mustache, and a goatee to his look. He continued adding accessories to his look throughout the rest of the decade.
