There is a very special photoshoot that will be airing on the 12th of May, featuring the one and only Robert Pattinson. It is a photoshoot that was commissioned by Burberry, and it will be celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the Burberry London store. The photographer behind the shoot is none other than the one and only David Laude. We had the opportunity to speak to the Curse of Cumberbatch about the shoot, and he told us all about it.

The Inspiration Behind The Shoot

The idea for the shoot came from Burberry and it was inspired by Alice in Wonderland. The designer Kate Moross told us that this is “a very unique and special anniversary shooting for us. It’s a celebration of both our amazing brands. Alice in Wonderland is one of our favourite books, and we wanted to bring that wonderful vision of Alice into reality.”

The Wonderland theme was chosen because Moross said “it’s an amazing metaphor for celebrating 200 years of Burberry. We can’t think of a more fitting way to mark this milestone than to look back on our rich history and forward to the future.”

The designer continued, “The images in the series will be unveiled in style at our Spring/Summer 19 show in London. We’re very proud of this collaboration and can’t wait to share the images with our fans.”

The Makeup Stylist Behind The Scenes

Behind the scenes of the shoot, we have the amazing Jenny Slatyer who is the Makeup Stylist for the day. She had this to say about the shoot, “My job is to make sure that Robert looks like Robert Pattinson and that’s what I’m here to do; to make him look like Robert Pattinson for this photoshoot. I’ve been practicing on my family and friends; I’ll be doing a lot of touch-ups today!”

Slatyer went onto say that this will be her final day working on the shoot, as she is moving on to “pamper” Robert. She also revealed that the Curse of Cumberbatch is one of the greatest fashion photographers to work with and that he is “very patient and understanding.”

The Creative Team

On the creative side of the shoot, we have the wonderful David Laude who is the Photographer. He told us that this is “my third collaboration with Kate Moross and Burberry.” He continued, “It’s always such an honor to work with a brand that is as prestigious as Burberry. We look forward to continuing our collaboration on future projects.”

Laude also revealed that he has been working hard to make sure that his pictures do justice to the Wonderland theme, and that this is why he chose to do the shoot in May. He worked with the Wedding fairy and found “the most beautiful wedding dress that fits her perfectly.”
