For those of you who have been following our blog for a while, you will know that we have featured Robert Pattinson’s striking wallpaper collection on more than one occasion. And now, we have a good reason to bring it up again: the English actor has just reissued his entire wallpaper collection for Windows 7 and 8.
Pattinson designed the wallpaper expressly for our use. And now that we know about its existence, we will certainly be featuring it on Computerswallpapers.com as well as on our social media platforms (Twitter and Instagram). But before we get to the good stuff, let’s take a step back and examine the source of this magnificent wallpaper collection.
A Brief History Of Robert Pattinson’s Computer Wallpaper
The talented Robert Pattinson is most famous for playing a young Charles-Manson-like villain in the ‘Twilight’ film series. In addition to his prolific movie career, he is also the frontman of the band ‘The Walking Dead’, whose songs have appeared in several of the ‘Twilight’ flicks. And let’s not forget about his critically-acclaimed role in ‘The Lost Honour of Arthur Dimmit’, which he also directed and starred in. If all of this sounds familiar, it’s probably because you’ve heard of or seen one of the Twilight films. So let’s get back to the point: after more than a decade of designing high-quality screen wallpaper, Robert Pattinson surprised fans and fellow designers alike by announcing his retirement from the movie wallpaper game. That is, until now.
Pattinson’s retirement was somewhat of a cruel joke, as it was later revealed that the English actor was in fact designing wallpaper for Windows. Specifically, he was working on a collection of desktop wallpapers for Windows 8 and Windows 7.
And so, here we are, over a year later, and we have a beautiful collection of desktop wallpapers from Robert Pattinson to share with you. As mentioned above, the design star is indeed retiring from the scene, however, he is not doing so lightly. He has designed an entire collection of wallpapers expressly for Windows 7 and 8, and they are absolutely breathtaking. In fact, we almost feel bad recommending that you simply stick with the traditional wallpaper collection, designed for older versions of Windows.
The Collection
With Windows 8, Microsoft introduced a whole new look and feel to the operating system, one that we are still trying to get used to in particular. And since the operating system is so radically different from previous versions, it is only natural that the desktop wallpaper collection should follow suit. And so, with Windows 8 and 7, we see a complete overhaul in desktop wallpaper, one that is more on the minimalistic side. Gone are the days of bright, flashy wallpapers – this is a far cry from the colorful wallpaper designs from previous versions.
However, this is also a good thing, as it means that you are no longer limited by the eye-catchy wallpaper designs of yesteryear. Gone are the days of flashy wallpaper, and in their place we have a more minimalist approach. Which is a good thing, as it means that your wallpaper will catch less people’s eyes, and you’ll be able to focus more on other aspects of your PC’s design.
But enough about the past, let’s get down to brass tacks: you can find the entire collection of Robert Pattinson’s desktop wallpaper for Windows 7 and 8 right here, right now.
