No, we’re not talking about the hunky actor here. We mean the luxury watch brand which stars and is owned by a certain Hollywood superstar. Yes, we’re going to talk about the Robert Pattinson collection. Now, we’d like to first start off by saying that RPattz has several other brands’ too. We’re here to cover all of them. So, without further ado, here are our top 3 favorite luxury watches by RPattz.
The Robert Pattinson Collection
We began our countdown with the Robert Pattinson Collection, a line of watches inspired by the British actor’s debut flick, Water for Elephants. It was an emotional turn for RPattz when this romantic comedy came out in 2011. The film was widely panned by critics but it struck a chord with audiences. It turned out to be a major success and helped launch the career of one of our favorite actors, Matt Damon. Since then, RPattz has released a series of limited edition pieces, all designed in collaboration with the illustrious British designer, Burberry. The collection includes a number of distinctively designed watch models, each available with a unique strap. We’ll cover the details of each below.
Next up on our list is Luminous Ladybird. We’ll begin by saying that this is one of the most unique watches in the entire collection. That’s because it’s the only one that doesn’t feature a brand icon on the dial or caseback. Instead, it’s decorated entirely in bright yellow and black enamel. The unique look is completed with green jewels and a black leather strap. This is a luxurious take on the classic ladybird design, don’t you think?
Next on our list is arguably one of the most recognizable pieces in the entire collection. The Classic Ladybird is perhaps the epitome of elegance and luxury. The rich colors, the dainty gold detailing, and the beautiful French-style links give it a timeless look that will never go out of style. We bet you any antique lover’s heart is going to be broken at the sheer amount of gold the Classic Ladybird is made of. Since 1881, Cartier has designed and manufactured this timeless masterpiece. This particular model features a rose-themed dial and a golden casing. The Classic Ladybird is one of the most iconic and recognizable designs of all time. It’s often considered the ‘Rosetta Stone’ of Cartier, meaning it has proved to be the most difficult piece to manufacture. When speaking with Cartier, the phrase ‘it’s a real masterpiece’ is often uttered. We couldn’t agree more.
Last but not least, we have the Royal Eagle. As the name would suggest, the Royal Eagle is a take on the famous golden eagle emblematic of the House of Cartier. This particular iteration of the symbol is a direct adaptation of the one used by the British royal family. We love a good royal association and the fact that these special watches are produced in collaboration with Edward VIII’s golden eagle emblem. This is also one of the most intricately designed pieces in the entire collection and it’s quite an achievement, really. Each piece is made with a combination of white gold and blue jewels. The British royal family has been associated with Cartier for quite some time. In fact, it was originally designed for Queen Victoria. As befitting the Queen’s great-granddaughter, the latest design features a diamond-studded crown. We love the fact that royal links are still upheld all these years later. It’s a real historical testament to the enduring fame and impact of Cartier as a brand. We bet you’re going to love this one too.
Now, we’d like to take a moment to discuss the differences between the various pieces in the collection. First of all, let’s discuss the straps. As you’d expect, the variety of straps available for each piece allows for ease of wear. The most recognizable piece in the collection is the Classic Ladybird, as mentioned above. This particular model is made with a flat gold link strap. We’d like to point out that this particular style is reminiscent of the type of watch frequently worn by Queen Victoria. In fact, many have suggested that the two designs are in fact, linked. Next up is the Royal Eagle. This particular piece is designed with a flat gold chain. This is a classic style that dates back to the 1890s. The last piece we’d like to point out is the luminous ladybird. This particular model is designed with a flat metal link and it comes with yellow gold accents. Of course, none of these are for children, we wish to point out. Finally, we’d like to discuss the prices of these special watches. As you’d expect, each piece is a limited edition and their prices range from £40,000 to £150,000. That’s some pretty impressive financial investment for a luxury item, we’d like to point out. We’d also like to remind our readers that these are not inexpensive watches. Each one, in fact, is a real luxury item and you’re investing in something that will last you a lifetime.
