What was supposed to be a night of fun and frolic on Friday, November 24th quickly turned into something more when the roof of the Regent Hotel in London, England, collapsed due to heavy rainfall and flooding.

The incident took place shortly after 10:00 p.m. local time. A number of guests, including director and producer Robbert Pattinson, were standing outside the hotel when the roof completely caved in. Fortunately, nobody was injured. However, the building was extensively damaged and will likely have to be demolished. Reportedly, the floodwaters reached a height of over 10 feet.

Pattinson, whose brother, William, is a producer for Gotham, was standing near the pool area when the incident occurred. He posted a photo on instagram of himself, clad in a Batman costume, standing by the hotel’s infinity pool. He tagged William and another male guest dressed as Gotham’s iconic vigilante. The caption read, “It was either dive in or exit the pool via the roof… #dressingup asgotham.”

An hour later, at around 11:00 p.m., Pattinson posted another photo of himself wearing the Batman outfit, this time standing in front of a sign reading, “Welcome to Gotham.” He tagged William and the other guest, along with his mom and dad.

While the exact cause of the roof collapse is still unknown, heavy showers and storms in England caused a number of buildings to lose their roofs, including the Regent Hotel.

More Than Meets The Eye

The incident at the Regent Hotel is certainly a tragic accident. However, it’s important to remember that this was more than just a pretty face. Robbert is quite the talented young man. Aside from being a famous face, he’s also accomplished and accomplished quickly.

In addition to his work in front of the camera, Robbert runs his own production company and recently completed shooting on The Favourite, which is slated for release in 2020.

It’s no secret that we want to see more of Robbert. We are certainly interested in seeing what else he’s capable of after this horrific accident. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before we see more of this lovely actor.

A Night To Remember

While it’s sad that one innocent human being’s life was taken away from this world, it’s important to remember that there are a lot of good people who were able to give their lives for others. It was a privilege to know them.

As terrible as this accident was, it really does bring good people closer to one another. There have been multiple reports of people going into cardiac arrest after helping others. If you’re reading this, I hope you’re still alive and are able to help others in whatever way you can.

No Regrets

There are a lot of people who were fortunate enough to escape the Regent Hotel with their lives. If you’re one of them, I hope you’re not harboring any regrets. You did what you needed to do and gave your life’s saved for others.

It’s important to learn from your mistakes and be more careful in the future. Nobody is perfect and we’re all human. However, you have to admit that the odds were extremely slim of everyone getting out unscathed. Especially with something like this where the potential for serious injury is so great. At least you were able to save others. That’s the main thing. You did what you could and gave your life for others.

You have to admire these men and women who put themselves in harm’s way just to save others. It’s an amazing thing to see. Even those who died were brave and selfless. It’s a great lesson to learn from these extraordinary people. They’re the real heroes.
